That's a good idea. I have an infrared gun. I will try that before pulling the thermostat. It just didn't seem right to run that cold and then go up that high even though 180 is not to high. I am just trying to pick some brains before any assumptions.

Thank you for the replys. I did Google it and found some discussion on it. I found the Napa part#s and think it will replace the thermostat this weekend and see if that does the trick.

So what should the normal temperature be? And it should not fluctuate very much?

Hello all. Got a question about temperature. My deuce will run all day long at 140-145°. When I get out and drive for a little bit it will go up to 180-185°. Is this normal for that large of an increase? Please forgive me if this is a silly question but I am new to multi fuel. Don (Tampa).
