Part Number for M1123 Rear Coil Spring

there are also other options for springs. There is at least one person selling custom springs for these that give a MUCH smoother ride, and can do things like lift the truck a little or whatever else you want.

Part Number for M1123 Rear Coil Spring

The part number you linked is for up armored rear springs. It might very well be correct for what is in your truck currently. However, if you don't like how roughly it rides (the uparmored springs don't seem to feel any softer until you're over 9k lbs gross weight) then changing to the original...

Part Number for M1123 Rear Coil Spring

M1123 is UOC "NNN" in the -24 Now, if you don't know what any of that means, you should probably learn, as that is how you will find all the parts for your truck. Go to this link and download everything there https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/tms-for-the-m998-series-hmmwv.78861/...

then we take that NSN and do a search for it in PartTarget and find this The list below is of all the different part numbers and by which manufacturer the part number belongs to, that make up that particular NSN (National Stock Number)...

    1987 steering gearbox

That part number isn't in the parts manual that I can find. It also doesn't come up in PartTarget, a website that has pretty much every part number in it that has an associated NSN (government part numbering system number basically) You should probably go to the TM section and download the...

HMWV M996 Ambulance body whats it worth?

So a couple years back I bought some stuff through govplanet, but it was actually a private collection of surplus. They said they were selling the ambulance bodies directly to plan b or one of those other upfitter type groups for $5k eack. The armored version was $8k. This was not too long...

    Pulley squeak

My serpentine belt only starts squeaking at me when the belt is out of alignment. For me though the squeak is at startup during the glow plug pulsing, and then whenever I'm adding load to the engine. The cause of mine is the generator rear mounting bracket sheared the exhaust stud (twice now)...

    200 AMP - dual-voltage generator question

normal. My guess it is for installing an eyelet to use a lift/hoist to install/remove gen.

SEC12 on milemarker hydraulic winch plate.

control box is just there until I get the wiring sorted out. There really isn't a good place to install it at the front of the truck near the winch, and I'm almost certain I will have to extend the wires for the control plug. Plenty of space to reach in there and operate the clutch mechanism...

SEC12 on milemarker hydraulic winch plate.

Yes, I've already done the A-arm bolts. I used a farm jack to lift the tire off the ground slightly, and that relieved enough pressure off of it that I could tap it through using a brass drift punch and a hammer. I didn't mention those tools in the list above because: A) I forgot B) not really...

SEC12 on milemarker hydraulic winch plate.

EDIT: I'm doing this mostly because I haven't seen much of anything about doing this type winch with the milemarker plate. Most of what I read basically stated that you either need the A2 plate and the extensions to do an electric winch, or other stuff like that. Figured I'd document what I...

    Battery Disconnect Quick Question

That is exactly what I am saying. With the meter reading for voltage, you are checking to see what the difference in voltage between the locations where you are placing each of the leads. With the negative battery cable disconnected, there should be no possible way for there to be any type of...

    Battery Disconnect Quick Question

that does not make sense to me. If EITHER of the battery cables are disconnected from the battery, and you are checking from the terminal that is still connected to ANYWHERE in the vehicle that is NOT the opposite battery terminal there should be ZERO voltage. Zip, Zilch, Nada. It doesn't...

    Integrated Battery Chargers

More than a few times the generators I work on in the civilian world have had DC charging issues and I got the customer through the outage with a jump start and a small battery charger/maintainer. I like the no.co stuff; I have several of their jump packs (GB150s) and multiple of their chargers...

Question on Gov planet process - What's a realistic timeframe for first time EUC's right now?, etc.

My understanding was those restrictions were for the trucks that had the "off road only" stamp on the DF-97. If it didn't have that stamp it was just a regular vehicle as far as they were concerned. (I could be wrong about that though. Anyway, in the grand scheme of things $100 isn't that...

Question on Gov planet process - What's a realistic timeframe for first time EUC's right now?, etc.

If your location is correct you shouldn't need the title, just a licensing office with someone competent that knows how to do the SF-97. According to other threads, they passed some regulations or rules or something to make titling surplus military vehicles pretty straightforward. I can't...

Just won an auction for my first HMMWV, the wait begins

as long as it's a clean SF-97 (no off road only stamp on it) then I doubt you will have any issues that route, as long as the person behind the counter is competent.
