if you do a search by the NSN and go to PARTTARGET or another site like that it will show you all of the manufacturer part numbers under that one NSN. If you can't find it under the part number in the book, sometimes it will show up under one of the other manufacturer part numbers
Hopefully it's just not seeing a 12V battery is the only issue. At least with a troubleshooting guide you can say it's definitely bad when it fails, as opposed to wondering and throwing more parts at it.
So I bid on and won a tent at auction labeled only as "extendable modular tent" on govplanet last week. Turns out it's not likely to be military surplus, but thought I'd share it here anyway.
Thought from the size it might be a small DRASH or Base-X but nope, neither of those. Turns out to be...
I like the Lexel or Dap clear sealant. They make a good seal, even to wet surfaces, and unlike silicone they can be peeled off.
I used it all around my windshield as well, both inside and out.
So as some of you know, I had the bolt holding the brake caliper bracket back out of the differential and come into contact with the ends of the halfshaft bolts sticking through the rotor.
Since I was down there anyway, I decided to take care of the oil leak I saw on that side of the...
So all I would need is a set of the heavier springs?
Just want to verify there isn't anything else I might not be aware of.
EDIT: I'm thinking I should probably identify the springs that are currently installed before I go spending money to "upgrade" them.
When in 2 man configuration I keep a scepter can or two in the rear passenger footwell area that is covered.
Only place I can think to mount a fuel can holder if you are a soft top would be against the cargo divider in the center. You lose a little cargo space, but it doesn't interfere with...
It was a USMC truck out of Yermo. As far as I could tell it had MAK armor (it was stripped down when I bought it and a lot of extra holes in the body, along with random bolts/brackets all over), and a 2010 rebuild.
With just propane/MAPP gas, you're not going to be able to heat it up enough to damage it unless you really screw up. Just too much mass.
Just aim the torch at it for a while until it's somewhat hot, then spray more oil on it (some people prefer to use wax instead). The cooling action of the...
Thank you.
I'm not having any issues with the front springs right now that I can tell, since all the added weight is in the rear of the truck, but I will definitely keep this in mind in case I do need to increase the front spring strength/height
As my truck sits right now it's just over 9k lbs. I keep some gear in the truck all the time (5 fuel cans, 3-5 water cans, tire chains cut down from semi chains with extra cross links) that are part of that, so if I had to guess the BEOD itself is in the 2k-2500lb range. All the weight is in...
So everyone complains about how stiff these springs are, and with an empty truck I'll agree they are pretty stiff.
I'm sort of having the opposite issue right now, my rear end is sagging compared to the front due to the amount of weight I have in it. With the BEOD (Body, Explosive Ordnance...
for the red dot you want at least the 100 amp, so going to the 200 amp would be a pretty good idea.
If you weren't doing the red dot, then getting your current gen rebuilt shouldn't be that hard or expensive. Heck, even if you do upgrade it's not a bad idea to get the 60 amp rebuilt as an...
I really wish I had had those pictures with the measurements before I started cutting and drilling on mine. There is at least one extra hole drilled in the top rear of mine than I actually needed (but I think that was due to the incorrect bracket I received at first)
Do you have the...
To go along with the above, if it isn't a sealed pot then using a product like this one can help with cleaning and deoxidizing the contacts if that is the issue

no, I don't have any type of template for this unfortunately, it would have made life easier.
I mostly went by the pictures on this page:

Hopefully someone with better info can chime in.
How I finally decided to start...
