And the extendable hitch is about 6" lower than on the other versions of the trailer. Have pulled our FD XM1071 all over with a C2500 4dr (Diesel). With a load, no problems. Using it tomorrow.
You are correct on all that info. My Fire Dept just stripped a M916A3 (5000mi) so have a 3.5" fifth wheel and a winch installation available.

Has been above freezing for 4days. 35F today. M925A0 cranks good but no fire. Put block heater on for a couple hours and fires right up. (2008 M916A3 and 2001 IH DT530 sitting next to her start right up at 15F with not aids). I'm just not so impressed with cold weather starting of the M925...
As I recall the right side/officers seat has somewhat better heat than drivers. Still weak though and the guy in the hatch got that hose directed ontp his feet.

Unable to find an electrical diagram. To my understanding M916A3 has dual voltage alternator with main output as 12v and secondary low amp 24v to charge the batteries. Is the only 24v to the starter and mil spec trailer lighting connection with everything else 12V?

What is 24v other than the starter and mil spec trailer lighting connection? I assume some power studs...
