Got a wire harness for the front half of the truck. At some point I’m going to get back to work on it. First priority is the G506. Once that’s finished (or work stoppage due to parts) and the weather ain’t too bad and the sun ain’t too hot… excuses, got a million of them. One way or another...

Not as much as I’d hoped but I got the first part of the leafs installed. Next time out, I’ll finish up the overloads and assorted fixtures. Then move to the driver’s side and do it all again.

Got some work done over the past few days. Both rear spring stacks have been mostly cleaned up. I’m not going to get too ambitious getting them all polished up. Cleaned off the oil, grease and rust. Got one of them partially primered. Hoping to get out today and finish primering all the rear end...

I have several M35’s. Also have a couple M211’s. I’ve only had a couple of issues with the M35. A fuel control went TU during a parade and I’ve got a real pita axle seal that I’m still trying fix. I’ve had most of the trucks for several years.

Everything is at a standstill for now. Temperature is at or below zero. Even though I’ve got arnold swartzenheater rated at 250,000 BTU, it won’t cut through this freeze. Come Monday, temperatures are supposed to be in the 50’s. Almost springtime in the Rockies.

One of the reasons the air tanks are in the rear is because they’re not convoy trucks. It’s been years ago but as I recall, these trucks weren’t allowed off base except for dire emergency. The only way they could get rear ended is by backing into something or possibly by have a jet fly up yer...

I read and appreciate the above comments. To have invested time, money and energy on a MV then being told you can’t drive it is a gut punch. I drive my trucks in parades and base open houses. Up here in Wyoming, so far, no one has bought into this issue, yet. I hope not. Not being able to lead...

Got busy on the RH rear leaf springs. All removed and look okay. Just have to clean them up. They are nasty looking. I wouldn’t be surprised if the last time they saw service was probably in the 1950’s.

I have several trucks, most are 24 volt. Take a wire, attach it to the left battery negative terminal. Get a second wire, attach it to the right positive terminal. Attach the positive wire to the pump wire. Using the left wire, touch it to the case of the pump. It’ll kick over if it’s at least...
