That's a great ideal to purge the 55 gallon drum of air with nitrogen. I wonder if anyone can verify if this helps extend the storage time of diesel?

Listen for the fuel pump... it should produce a ticking sound. Then crank away. Look for smoke = fuel entering the cylinders. Hopefully it will start right after. [emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696]

Yes, that's true. If the flywheel bolts got sheared off (or fell out), the flywheel will spin the generator, and the engine won't spin. Hopefully, that's your only issue [emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696]

Sounds like the front half of your crankshaft snapped. The rear half is spinning the generator through the starter/ring gear...Ouch!

Aloha all. I was asked if I knew someone who could drain all the fluids of all three of these beasts. Someone mentioned a person died trying to do the same thing! I assume there was a hydraulic accumulator that discharged killing that person? Does anyone have procedures on bleeding/draining the...
