Wow looking at those pics I’m surprised at how clean mine is in there. All of the wheel bearing grease in the hub has pretty much been washed out by axle grease. Surprisingly the axel grease never made it past the inner wheel bearing, but luckily everything still looks good in there. I did...
Now on to the rears! So I’ve taken one of the rear hubs off so far and boy was it time! It’s been a long time since anyone has looked in there. No cork gasket or gear oil resistant RTV in the spindle key way. Will be doing the full service on all four rears and while I’m in there replace all the...
I’ve got an 88 it started as an Airforce tanker, before getting the utility body put on her. It’s cool it’s still has the stickers on the dashboard about how and when to safely cross the runway. It has dual circuit brakes.

Thanks guys! It’s funny I was trying to find it in the TM‘s, and I finally found it in the little operators manual that I guess was supposed to stay with the truck. Where does one find the tool to get them off?
Hi all! It’s been a while since my last post but my Deuce and I are still here! Finally got her into the shop to start giving her some TLC. First project on the list is replacing the knuckle boots. I ended up getting the solid boots from big Mike’s. I’ve got everything taken apart she definitely...

I am certainly learning a lot. Been doing lots of reading on here along with the TM’s. Looks like I will also be doing transmission and transfer case seals. Probably have close to 75-100 miles on her and now and she has started leaving her mark where we park. LOL
Thanks NY Tom. It looks clean, level is at the bottom of filler neck. I’ll just keep an eye on things. Also appreciate your input on my leaky HH post. Will be tackling that one here shortly.

So I was out driving the Deuce around yesterday, gave her a good ride hills and all that good stuff. Got to where we were going let her cool down and shut her off. When walking back to truck noticed antifreeze leaking from the cap. Started her up and the leak stopped, temp has been holding at...
