Funny how symptoms and problems collide. My dad had disconnected the batteries (sparked cable in process), cleaned the terminals on the fuel gauge (primary reason for disconnecting the batteries), and just called to say that after 2 hours, he found that he had hooked the wires up incorrectly...
Hi,
I’ve searched SS but can’t find the answer. My dad was disconnecting the batteries and the loose terminal flopped and shorted, causing a large spark. He said the relay behind the instrument panel keeps tripping when attempting to start. He installed a new one and same thing. Any pointers...
I’ve had a knot in my stomach since I first saw the smoke from my unit but it has eased a little after seeing your videos. I was scared to run it very long, but you think let it run to clear up? Nearly identical amount/color as your smoke.
It was clean burning with the unknown old oil in it...
Hi,
I recently changed the oil/filter (Wix and Rotella) and now shortly after startup I’m getting an unusual amount of smoke. 2100 hrs. New to me set and it did fine (no smoke) before oil change.
I have a video but I can’t upload it. The TM I looked at didn’t go into much detail about...

I may have read this thread incorrectly, but it seems like most recommend the NOCO G7200 24V charger which is no longer made.
Question 1
I need to use a dual bank 24V charger on my MEP 803 and wire it to both batteries while they are connected to the get set?
Question 2
If I use a dual bank...
And the market for used runners 🤦♂️. Can’t touch a used one for less than $5k or $6k and it’s beat to hell from the 90’s. Not knocking capitalism one bit, just not buying another one right away.
This is what I’m going with, there is a thread further down. I had the same OCD issue potentially pulling 60 amps from 50 amp plugs. This plug is rated for 60 amps.
I
I have an Eaton CH meter combo, I am certain eaton makes an interlock but I will probably source that item from the local electrical supply house to ensure I get the correct one.
