Not exactly answering your question, but... I've put soft top kits on 4 different m1114's and kept the original riveted-on lower b pillar panel and have yet to have a soft door (front or rear) not fit with them. It's a little tighter than with the other lower b pillar panel, but I've always...
I had the exact same issue. See more info here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/6-5-turbo-dying-on-rapid-decel-psa.213180/
RWH mentioned algae being a likely cause, but I had none. Guessing the inside of my IP was just gunked-up.
Try adding washers between the switch and mounting bracket. I've had to do this on a few trucks and have more luck with washers than bending the rod.

Likewise. I've registered 5 Humvees in NC with an SF97. I always opt to spend the extra $100 for the instant title option. In and out in about 15min with the new title and plates. Easy peasy. My last 2 have been registered/renewed for 4+ years with absolutely no issue.
I had the exact same symptoms - irregular trans light flashing while running and no codes... Ended up being a loose ground wire on the shunt in the battery box. It was siliconed over so it wasn't readily apparent, but I eventually found it by wiggling wires. Might be something to check.
Jigsaw with a drop of oil on the blade every once in a while - easy peasy and cuts like butter. The edges also clean up very nicely with a round-over bit on a router.
Again, the factory fresh 6.5's have the GEP version. The 6.5 rebuilds don't have anything (or are painted over), so your truck matches what all (or most) of the other trucks have, so technically neither one of this is right. I can't imagine any random DMV person knowing any difference or...
If that's all the DMV needs to see, I'm fairly certain that with 20 minutes in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Adobe, etc and a printer, an enterprising individual could find a cheap, easy solution to this problem.
Along similar lines... I installed this one in addition to the anemic stock horn. Plenty loud and definitely gets some attention.

Looks good!
FYI - I used the same mats for mine. I cut them with a jig saw and drop of oil on the blade every once in a while. Other than the dust, it was fast and easy. I also used a round-over bit on my router to clean up the edges - worked really well too.
This is exactly what I did when I installed my rear winch plate, except that I also used a floor jack and some random scraps of wood to lift (ever so slightly) against the a-arm (but not the frame) to relieve some of the pressure on the bolt. You're lifting against the angle of the a-arm, so it...
I concur. I've got a few of the exact same charger and use them all the time. Surprisingly good reliability and flexibility from a super cheap charger.
Correct, it's not the Sheppard box. Plenty of availability, I was just hoping to avoid spending $500-600 on a new one. Oh well, such is Humvee life....
I have an m1114 (sn 230xxx) that exhibits hard steering to the left only. Steering to the right is fine. Anytime I try to steer left, it feels like there's no power steering at all. This happens throughout the entire range of the wheels turning from lock to lock. The truck steers perfectly...
I've been traveling and away from the laptop for while, but I wanted to close the loop on this...
I appreciate the advice and feedback. I've got the oil cooler temporarily bypassed so I can work on the rest of the truck. I'll source a replacement cooler and won't drive the truck anywhere...
I have an m1114 that has a large, unfixable hole in the engine oil cooler. One a scale of 1 to 10, how dumb of an idea is it to just cap off the ports in the engine block and run without the cooler plumbed in? Anyone actually tried this? Could the cooling system keep up? The truck isn't...
