Diesel engines inherently are easy to work on, i would say 10 times easier than gas engines as they don't have all electrical timing and so.
Detroits are far easier and noisy, very noisy.
Check your cold advance. When they start cold, it sounds like a coffee grinding machine or worse.

We were able to support the City of Sunrise on veterans day with 7 humvees and my MRZR. Departing from alligator alley harley davidson to the City, about 6 miles caravan with police escort and Like 30 Harleys. Placed the cars on display.
Body lift to fit the turbo engine, engine wire harness is routed in a different direction, speed sensor, justvthe one in the front ( i don't remember if i had to cut and splice) and probably TCM ( i am using the same for the 6.5 NA)
Good luck 👍
Problem has been sold, the diagnostic electronic box was damaged. Bought a new one and is working flawlessly now.
Bummer, the new red dot system y have in the office doesn't have the diagnostic box and no conector for it. It looks like the newer style is connected directly and probably not the...
On my Red Dot system, i add the exact amount of refrigerant found on YouTube videos and now on the manual i found. Not familiar with your model, could be a expansion valve stuck? Or not opening/closing all the way? I remember not too long ago someone started a thread on 1151 or 1152 ac system...
Man, he is 9 years older than me and has always looked out for me. Most of what i have done and accomplished in life i owed to him. I am in this beautiful and amazing country, thanks to him. Is just a fraction what i am doing. So, he is not only a nice brother, he is amazing!!!
Did a sacrilege here, but all for a good cause.
A couple of months ago i bought a 1097A2 running but the hood was missing a chunk, after a long search for a M998 style hood to none available i decided to mount the M1114 hood and nose from my spare parts truck.
This truck is a gift to my...
@Mogman, not sure if you want to keep these in the sticky. Thwre is no schematics but the instructions in how to install and the last page shows the amount of frein and oil to add.
I went to the office to check since i bought a new red dot system as spare and it is a little bit different. The...
Hey Mog, thanks for getting back to me. I have tried everything, power down, disconnect batteries, traced wire by wire and nothing. The only thing i noticed was the Positive wire feeding the unit from the batteries fried, not sure why the breker did not trip.
The compressor does not seem to be...
Hey guys, i am here looking for help.
While on a trip yesterday to the Florida west coast to bring supplies the belt tensioner broke and the belt strings damaged the AC compressor (Sanden 1 wire)
The tensioner issue was resolved, however i was trying to fix the AC system with no prints...
Had some fun today fixing the humvee 150 miles away from home with limited access to parts and tools.
We went to the florida west coast to bring supplies for the needed after hurricane Milton and my belt tensioner broke.
Found part # 910032A from litens and meant for another engine but made it...
In regards to the water pump, if 6.2 is V belts and 6.5 is serpentine belt. The rotation is inverted. The most experienced can correct me if iam wrong.
Great info, now i can change my transmission control with one of the spares. I have the 1123 but installed a turbo engine and never replaced the TCM. As is, it works ok but i have always felt it shifts kind of harsh. Also forth and torque converter are together.
