Got a weapons mount question. I had my M2HB .50 mounted on my M1043 turret with the large diameter pintle just fine. Well a good friend gave me a gunners shield last week as a gift, after a quick CARC job I got it mounted. Bad news is the pintle opening on the shield is much smaller...
These have the small bolts that are all around the outside then there is a brace inside to the pillars, creates a filler for thr lower rear doors for the two man troop carrier.
That Puzzles me as our Dept. gets an annual audit from the Military LESO program to account for every single vehicle and piece of equipment that has to be returned.
I can see about 70% of these Depts. that think this is a great idea, after a year or so of up keep and maintenance either leaving them to sit idle or just returning them back to LESO. I just got back from Fort Meade and there was a parking lot with over 50 HMMWVs parked in it, the lot attendant...

As a member of that Dept. I can tell you that the up armored with turret is used for barricaded gunman situations and other SWAT calls involving armed suspects...
Can anyone tell me if there is a bracket that goes up underneath the rear fender that the MX 6707 antenna bracket bolts to for strength, or is the fender strong enough to support it alone?
