They are Coopers if my memory serves correctly, they do alright, better than the worn out militaries we are all used to. Have had them for at least 15 years now, kept them off the GMC that was replaced. They work good for when you are on the way to a lightning strike fire that you can't find...
I live @ 7 miles downriver of the DJ powerplant, in fact the first fire this truck was used on was a fire started by a BN train on the new rail loop east of the DJ powerplant.
As far as the side shields, we were instructed by the powers that be that we were to remove them for better cooling...
The county bought this one about 5-6 years ago and sent it to me to replace the '53 GMC deuce that they decommissioned and sent back to State Forestry. We had the GMC since the early 80's. Was a good solid and dependable truck. I was very upset when I heard the state had auctioned it off...
Rather than continue to hijack the other thread I was posting in, I decided to start a new one to post a pic of the county fire truck I operate from my ranch.
I'll try to post more pics of more trucks in a couple weeks when we hold our zones maintenance day for these deuces.

My zone will be having a maintenance workday in a couple of weekends, so we will have 4 of the multi's togther, I'll try and remember to snap some pics with them all together then, and maybe I'll tease you with a pic of mine tomorrow when I pull it out of my shed. :smile:

Approximately 25 deuce and a halves multifuels a few gassers, 2 of the 5 tonners, one with cummins and one gasser, several m715's and the like in the mountains.
I'd have to go dig the call sheet out of my deuce to give accurate numbers.
