I have recently purchased a MC-7 Davey compressor, and from what I read its Davey Model 14M125. The tags have been removed as the previous owner "De-Militarized" it, but it has a john deere 3 Cyl diesel and a rotary vane Davey Compressor on the back. I went to change the hydraulic oil in the air...
Just picked up a Davey MC-7 Compressor that I would like to run through maintenance wise. Nice unit with 850 Hours. I have a few questions that isnt covered in the TM Posted in another thread on this site.
1- What is a Filter PN for the airend? Davey does not seem to sell these filters OE, a...
Hey guys,
Its been a long time since ive had green stuff, but lately ive been considering picking up a MC-2A IR compressor at auction. At 15CFM @ 200 PSI its definitley good enough to drive my air tools, but I was wondering how its capabilities are at blowing out my sprinkler system? I was...
I noticed your compressor in the pic a few pages back is missing the shroud- craftsman recalled the shrouds on that series air compressor for overheating, try giving them a call they will ground ship you a new one free of charge!
If you pull the driveshaft, you could just jam a paper coffee cup in the tailshaft. No draining needed. Btw- all standardized cupholder type cups fit perfect- that 44 oz soda jug wont.
here is what I think- a line on the suction side is partially cracked or leaking which lets air into the system when its bumping around that masks itself when its not being jarred around. I really believe timing jumps around when air is being pumped through
I would reccomend changing the fluid & filter, and installing a drain plug into the pan while you are at it. From there on out you could change it two more times without soaking your head with hot, stale ATF:-D
About 8-9 months ago I changed the glow plugs on the 1008 with fresh AC Delco GP's. The truck became a little harder to start this week, and I finally got a chance to look at it today. No air in fuel and it flows well. Checked the relay and it was going strong, then checked the glow plugs and...
I am going to recommend a walker tru-fit or pro-fit muffler. With such a low revving, small displacement, no horsepower engine the stock 2.25" dual exhaust flows perfectly fine. I notice no hp changes between open manifold and a full exhaust system. The only difference is your ears aren't...
How come nobody suggested a pintle/ball combo hitch yet?
I would attempt to weld something to the back of the hitch coupler for better tongue weight capacity.
