Ok, thats what my electrician thought. We are going to wire up a couple sensors to a LED screen inside near the panel, so I know exactly whats going on when on 803a power. Where abouts do you run your 803a in regards to percentage on that analog gauge on the control panel? I have seen some...
In addition, it was fun to see the exhaust cleaning itself out when the genny was under a near 50% load. For a few minutes I had tons of sparks shootin out. It eventually cleaned itself out and no more sparks, so thats good.
Good morning everyone. Finally got everything wired up last night and did some testing with the 803a. The gauge on the control panel in regards to % of usage... Where abouts do you guys typically run yours? My electrician friend was a bit confused on what that gauge represents. The number...
Got the canvas back on the trailer. Looks great. Night and day difference. Spent about 80$ on supplies and only ruined a sweatshirt and sweatpants in the process haha
Did you try goo gone on the govplanet sticker residue? I haven't gotten that far yet, hauled a few ton of 2b limestone yesterday. I did however, find a spray solution that works amazingly. Its called RMR-86M on Amazon. Spray on, wait 10 minutes and 95% of the mildew stains melt away. I did...
My buddies who have boats sent me a link to special vinyl magic erasers as well. As long as the weather holds out, Monday will be the day I get to cleanin.
I found a thread from 2017 here via google (for some reason google searches the site better) that mentioned 3m marine vinyl cleaner and restorer, so thats what Im gonna use. I hate to highjack this thread, but as mentioned I cant start a new thread for some reason. Ill report back with pics of...
Might as well throw this out there. I'd be willing to trade my tan one for a camo or green one in similar shape. No holes, zippers work, no tears, all clips in good shape. It's just dirty dirty from sitting dirty in the sun. There is a NOS green one on fleabay for 1000$ but I honestly can't...
I got one for a fair price that originally was from Butner off of a fella who lives in NC somewhat close to the depot. The m1101 is currently tan but I may paint it camo or carc green to match my m1009 at some point. But right now, I would like to get the canvas as clean as possible as the...
I searched the site, didn't find anything regarding how to clean a tan 1101 canvas cover/tarp. I picked up a decent m1101, but the tan canvas is all black and blotty. 15 degree pressure washer didn't even put a dent in the dirty. Any tips or links to threads I may have overlooked? I went to...
Afternoon all, just want to confirm the AN fittings on the aux fuel system is -5an, yes? BTW I got the generator running top, and everything is good here. Thanks again to the folks who lent some info here on this thread!
Fixed the dry rotten fuel return lines early today. Had a heck of a time starting er afterwards, but I eventually opened the banjo bolt near the fuel filter and it released a ton of air. Did that 3x and then it fired up and mellowed out. Noticed a bit of a drop in oil pressure (30ish ) after...
Hey, thanks for the reply. I think I have everything sorted. I have a few hours early tmrw morning and planning on doin the fuel return lines, draining the fuel tank, and a few other odds and ends. I appreciate all the help you guys gave me, definitely good stuff. Yes rat tails haha oh boy...
Had a few hours early today and got a few things done on the 803a. Turns out that fleabay water pump will work, but here's what I had to do...just in case anyone else feels like taking a chance on these cheaper water pumps. First off, I had to take a 3/8 24 tap and run it through the temp...
So after messing with this fleabay pump this morning there are 2 things. 1. It does actually fit and will work. The casting is a C- grading. Lots of casting flakes that will need cleaned up in fear of them breaking off and getting stuck in the radiator etc. 2. The threads for the temp...
Hey bud, do you perhaps have any links to the sensors or pump threads you mentioned? Im not coming up with anything using the search on this site. Thank you!
So the next person searching for a water pump for the 803a doesn't waste their time and get caught up in a situation like mine: Although the listing says this " Water Pump 186-6178 for Onan US Military Generator MEP-802A MEP-803A 186-6714" https://www.ebay.com/itm/387255206365 this is not 100%...
