GL Ft Riley Kansas- buttload of deuce parts

Jason, Are you looking at bidding on a running condition deuce or one of their many residue trucks? I just want some engine/interior parts from one of the residue trucks but I don't want to haul a complete deuce 400+ miles. Maybe if we get a pool together of people who want parts, we could...

GL Ft Riley Kansas- buttload of deuce parts

That is a cool truck. I bet the bid gets over $10k on that one! I would just like to get some parts from some of those clunkers out at Riley. I wish GL would let you take a cutting torch to the residue truck won at auction and leave the parts you dont need.

GL Ft Riley Kansas- buttload of deuce parts

Is anyone planning on buying some trucks from Ft Riley, KS at the next GL auction (event 1571)? Does anyone know who buys most of the trucks from Ft Riley?

How much does a deuce transmission weigh?

Thanks for the info. I built a small pickup truck mounted jib hoist to load the tranny. It was overkill but it worked great. The shipping box the tranny came in said "288 lbs" so two guys could have mexican-hoisted it into a truck. I saw a xfer case for a deuce sitting in the GL yard at...

How much does a deuce transmission weigh?

I need to pickup a tranny from GL and the site manager as Kirtland, NM will not forklift anything into pickup trucks. I want to know if it is possible for a couple of corn-fed guys to lift a tranny into the bed of a pickup without injury. Thanks Greg@codedsolutions.net

CDL or no CDL? Wondering about what you have.....

Here in colorado the best way to get around all the CDL bullsh%t is to register as a farm truck. They don't seem to care about size/weight for farm except they tax you more for higher GVWR. I registered a 25k GVWR chevy c70 for about 100 bucks. Non-farm would have been $300+. My insurance...

    deuce auction results, for me.

the only real deal I got out of GL at Ft Carson was a brand new 4' x 6' precast concrete manhole for 35 bucks. I got a douche transmission and a xfer case for 35 bucks each out at KirtlandAFB, NM. I sent my dad to pick up the xfer case and the a$$wipe at GL told him that they will not load...

    deuce auction results, for me.

The one thing I don't understand is how stuff can sell on GSA for so much less? I really do think GL engages in "ghost" bidding to jack up the prices, especially on high demand items like m35's. I just think the whole principle of allowing one company to make all kinds of profit from military...

Anyone bidding on GL stuff in Colorado?

Rancher supply eh...dang! :banghead: They buy up all the trucks then try to sell them at twice the price. Check out this beater for $6k: http://www.ranchers-supplyco.com/detail.asp?recordid=100115714&IndID=1&Cat=25 Maybe I have been smoking too much crack or something because I don't see...

    deuce auction results, for me.

Would you consider selling some LDT- 465 parts? I am looking for a valve cover. Here is my score: http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=563903 For some reason, M35 parts are real cheap in NM, but complete trucks are a ripoff. -Greg

Anyone bidding on GL stuff in Colorado?

It really sucks that these companies can come in and screw us all out of a deal. I remember Boyce screwed me out of a m1008 back in 1997. I just need to write some denial-of-service viruses  for Boyce & Ranchers ISP so they can't get to the GL site.... any objections?

Anyone bidding on GL stuff in Colorado?

I am sitting this one out, at least for Ft Carson. I am still waiting for the EUC :deal: on the duece I bought in Feb so I am in no hurry to get another one. If you watch the bid prices, It looks like the same person had the high bid for all of them because the price was the same. What I...

m1009 at GL ft Carson, CO, dont bid against me

I gave up on it after 500 bucks... I wonder who won it.. I guess I will have to wait for the next batch of clunkers out at Carson.

My New to Me M35A2 W/W

    D. Rat, I don't remember the condition of the top so I will have to wait until I get it home to figure out what it is worth. I might hang on to for my next deuce project. I should have the m109 home real soon, they have been sitting on my EUC since feb 22nd.

My New to Me M35A2 W/W

Desert Rat, The 109 is still sitting at GL so I am not sure what heater components it has. Here are the pics: http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=529368 I will post it in the parts for sale section once I get it home.

My New to Me M35A2 W/W

Sgt, The m-35s up for auction on the 25th must be the ones I saw. They were in the same row as the one you bought, but no winches on these. I probably won't get one of these unless they go for less than 2k. I am sure my m109a3 got a good dose of snow in the exposed engine & cab this past...

m1009 at GL ft Carson, CO, dont bid against me

Yeah, I know the carpet is gay  <-(gay smiley face). The front spindles were robbed, but 10 bolt front axles grow on trees out here so replacing it will be no problem. I will take a look at it in person tomorrow.
