why is the hood number covered and why is the data plate pic taken in a way so you can't read the numbers?
if you had those numbers you may be able to find some recent history on it. restorations are usually fun...
thanks for posting your experience.
i bought 6 tanks from the littilefield place. m40. m47, m60, m32, xm1, m48.
the heaviest was the m48 at about 81,000 pounds.
i bought 3 at a time and the first 3 i had problems. i had the crane arrive and the trucks showed up with no outriggers for there...
the m2a1 halftracks where the most common, at least on the west coast.
if it is an m2a1 it will have the hood number stamped on the cast iron mount that supports all the bogies like in this pic

could you post a pic of the whole vehicle you have there? i would like to add the pic...

i agree with you CARNAC. it will be interesting to see if that means there will be alot less people at tower this year.
my comment about marketing was meant to be humorous if you click on the link i posted above.
that one is probably not good for anything but parts.
with a crane like that on it the frame will be bent and reinforced. its worth 1500 in parts or scrap so you cant go wrong.
