    MK 23 Ac kit instructions

I thought I had posted the instructions before, but can't find them. So here they are again. Including my messy hand written schematics, since none were included with the kit.

Air Compressor Pulley wrench dimensions / drawing?

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/compressor-wrench-drawing.20659/ You may need to play with the scale if you print it out. There was a member who made them, but stopped years ago.

M35A2 Air Assisted Power Steering Questions???

Here is a not too distant discussion with some good links - https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/air-assist-steering-install.197598/#post-2304425 My opinions (FWIW) on your questions- 1) Is the AIR O-MATIC air assisted power steering worth the money??? Depends on the money, when a bunch of...

    Hot in Arizona

If you got mud looking crud out of it, flush from every possible hose connection in every possible direction, and do several cycles. Good time to replace all the hoses and check the thermostat.

Deuce door window installation; any tips?

It been long enough since I did this, that this may be a memory from a different window seal replacement... But, I think I dropped the window assembly far enough down into the door to clear where the seal needed to mount. (possibly after loosening the regulator and/or tracks) Installed the...

New Orleans Air Show March 19-20 MINI SS La Rally

We (wife and I) were in New Orleans for vacation last week. Saw some flyovers on Thursday, mainly F-16. She said there were more on Friday at the zoo. My dad picked me up Friday to go to Louisville over the weekend. He was in the same hotel as the Blue Angels Thursday night and got a chance to...

    EGT harness question

And re-reading the post, specifically the length of the wire doesn't make any practical difference. (unless you're getting into the 100's of feet range) So, if there is a re-useable connection on the back of the gauge, you could probably shorten the wire there.

    EGT harness question

The wire is likely special thermocouple wire. Any cuts will need to be welded with no filler metals, or crimped with special thermocouple connectors, matching the specific thermocouple type. Other splices or changes will change the level of the temperature signal outside the range of the gauge...

    M35a2 shifting questions

The 2nd then 1st trick helps with mine, but not always. Unload and on flat streets, 1st isn't really necessary. If you are at a stop sign, you'll have to shift to 2nd by the time you get 1/2 way into the intersection anyway. I only use low playing in the dirt, but the truck is rarely loaded and...

    Front wheel bearings

Here is what my parts spreadsheet tells me - (but I put it together several years ago, and you might want to verify the numbers in the parts TM) parts, Wheel bearing, inner, front or rear 3110-00-087-3930 Timken 3994 parts, Wheel bearing, outer, front or rear 3110-00-087-9881 Timken 392

Picture of Texas Former Military Vehicle plate?

Nope, new design with the 2023 expiration issued ones. (Texas only prints them every 5 years, and they have to be replaced then. If you get a new one at an in-between year, they pro-rate the initial fee.) Kind of poor picture, but it is dark out. If you need a better one I can try and take one...

    At wits end...Deuce heater ducting

    Bed modification ideas

I've seen a lot of trash hauling trailers set up with a 2nd wall at the head of the trailer. Wall is made of heavy plywood reinforced with lumber and chains or cables attached to either side. At the dump, they attach the chains or cables to one of the dozers and pull everything off the trailer...

    Correct TM for this alternator?
