I was looking at getting a wire brush for it just brush it once a year should be good it does get hot. Even a dryer vent brush should help keep the deposits down.
What is the best thing will 1/8" mesh work and still allow enough airflow. Also anyone find a better way to seal the doors mine close tight but I have read guys getting wasp nest in them.

I had some olde rubber fire hose I put under the skids to combat that issue now only drone is the strap I hung the exhaust with. Might switch to all thread and pipe hangers.
Yeah I definitely need to run it longer with load on it time has been the issue. Since I’m stuck home today with the crappy weather I plan on switching house over to gen for good part of the day and in my house the dryer never stops running so that will keep it at almost 100% load.

I have a smaller gas unit as a backup for now once I get my shop build I will definitely get another complete unit in the mean time will look for a parts unit.

Only reason I was asking about the block heater was all the liquid cooled gens I ever serviced all had block heaters but they also didn't have glow plugs for help starting in the cold. Thank You
