At least with the 115X and 116X trucks there is definitely more than just plugging in the wires to the de-icer module.
There is a bundle of four wires with caps behind the battery box. Three of the four wires in the bundle trace to the...
Does anyone have a working windshield de-icer or TM that outlines the system?
The three wires coming out of the A pillar center into the de-icer control box are clear.
There are many wires behind the battery box that have matching wire labels and we have traced continuity to the three in the A...
Thank you for sharing the first issue! Agreed the content is compelling.
@Guyfang are you downloading all the issues manually? I combined all the available ones into the zip on post 6 above.
Here is the cloud link as zip. Download soon if you want it and make sure you have at least 21GB available.
Please let me know if this was helpful for you!
@peapvp thank you for sharing that website!
I used Python to scrape the site and download all the PDFs. Took about an hour or two to code and run. It looks like Issue 001, 164, and 804 are missing.
The 800 back issues are about 22GB compressed. What is the best way to make these available to...
That REV truck was basically given to you free at that price. Both look like good trucks I would try to get them both running and go from there. Trade the REV to RWH before tearing it apart.
I thought ECV started at serial number 250k and had 80 MPH speedometer, among other things?
Look them...
Nevada, so mileage may vary, but State Farm had no issue insuring a hmmwv (or deuce). Our agent is more tenacious than average and got the 2008 hmmwv insured as a regular road vehicle without issue. They submitted pictures of the vehicle to underwriting but I was left with the impression it was...
I’m working on an 1151 slantback hatch. I have the correct seal. This hatch has the extra piece (armor?) on the top third of the hatch. Does that extra piece need to come off to install the new seal? If so how does one remove that top armor piece? All the fasteners are phillips head and several...
What is the best hmmwv mirror configuration for visibility? I’ve operated many vehicles and always use mirrors for backing up and road awareness. Especially backing a trailer, mirrors never lie.
I have OEM mirrors with x doors and the mirror visibility when looking through the passenger x door...
Thanks for the feedback and diagrams. Initial attempt to recharge was not successful - the low side charge is showing ~100 psi, well into the red on the recharge bottle. PSI does not change with engine on or off and the compressor is not engaging.
Not seeing any voltage on wires 7 or 436...
With summer rolling around it’s time to get the A/C working. This is an 1152 ECV truck.
Is there a TM that outlines the full circuitry and troubleshooting steps?
So far I know the heater works, hi low fan works (albeit inversed, low is hi and hi is low).
The only feedback I get from A/C...
That puts it to rest! Great work identifying this bumper @Wildland, @NDT, and others.
Are any of these trucks even in civilian hands?
What would you do if you bid on three of these?
Thanks for the discussion!
To be fair I was wondering the same if it will fit / bolt on to hmmwv. GP listed it under hmmwv parts, not that that means much.
@Guyfang it looks like there is a tag with NSN / info on it but not readable. Trying to get more info and will report back if I get the...
