    I just wanted to thank you for this response. I changed the transmission filter this morning and experienced zero transmission issues all day today... she shifts like a champ! Changing the filter was a real pain in the ass, but I like solution much better than the alternatives! Thank you...

    Is my 1097A2 running hot?

    Thermostat shows 220. It takes a while to get there but stays steady. Is that too hot? I'm used to "normal" being in the middle of the guage! I also have an auxiliary radiator (a smaller silver radiator on top of the original black radiator)... not sure if that makes a difference.

    Thanks. I bought a meter, so will have to give that a shot. The new switch does operate more smoothly than the original, but I think there's just not enough play in the brakes.

    Thanks for this. I'll change the filter and see if that makes a difference. I think the brake switch is still not doing its job, but will try changing the filter as well.

    It acts like it's in neutral on an uphill incline. If I mash the brakes, it'll engage. So, I'm guessing there may isn't enough travel on the brake switch. Does that make sense? Is there any way to adjust that? I have to barely touch the pedal to get it to stop, so it could afford to loosen up.
