Just thought I would share a picture of our M916A1 at work protecting the community. I also included a picture of our M35A3 brush truck and an M978A2 from another department out on the same fire. You could see the relief on the faces of the elderly couple worried about the large grass fire...
I used a lockable switch from Flaming River that is rated for 250 amps continuous and 2500 amps for 5 seconds. It was not cheap but I am confident it can handle anything my Deuce throws at it.

Here is a post showing how I...
Yes, this will be kept inside our station except when on a call. We don't yet have a drop tank. We usually just fill brush trucks or feed an engine when on a scene. We will carry 1-1/2 hose and a nozzle so that we can also fight fire from this truck if needed.

Finally getting close to putting our tender in service. I just have to install and wire the emergency lights and put the fire department decals on the door. We changed from our original plans and used a single 2,350 gallon poly tank.
Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make it this year. :-( This has always been such a good parade. You guys have a good time and post lots of pictures.

Made it home safe. It was great to see everyone and a true honor to be able to have the Blue Star Mothers group decorate and ride in my deuce this year.
Scorpion6,
How about meeting at 11:00 a.m. at the Chickasaw Travel Stop (near Lazer Zone)? When taking the deuce I usually go to Lexington then North on 77. That should give us plenty of time to get these slow beasts to Norman for the 1:00 staging time.
Scorpion6, I had also missed that you are in Ada. Sounds good to caravan up to Norman on Sunday. I will PM you later this week and we can plan a meeting time and place. It looks like we will have nice weather. I will be prepping and servicing my deuce Friday and Saturday to make sure...
Looking forward to it!
Warthog, can you believe that this Veterans Day will be 5 years since I bought my deuce from you? Look at my signature line and see what you started. :D
It even influenced my purchase of a new vehicle last week. The new Jeep green paint color for this year is named...
