Best Way to Power 12V Ham Radio Box

I would use this if I wanted to power a 12 volt load. Yes there is a dual voltage alternator but if I was going to install a HAM radio (say a nice Icom, Yaesue or Kenwood) I believe it would protect the radio. The only real load on the 12 volt side of the alt is the TCM and they doesn't take a...

First shakedown and I have a question about the fan clutch

After some thought the fan is controlled by the engine block temp and not the radiator temp. Like a small block Chevy the hot air blowing though the rad is controlling the fan clutch and not the engine block temp. It would be interesting to see if the 300,000 SN trucks have any issue with ram...

    Misaligned brake switch

I threaded my z bar with a 10-24 die and used nylocks lock nuts. This took out all play and made it "easier" to adjust. Of coarse you have to stand on your head while doing the splits and patting your head to get to the adjustments.

First shakedown and I have a question about the fan clutch

I took my M1152A1 out for the day on it's first shake to see how things are running. The truck drove well and ran really good and strong. One of the things that I noticed was how much the fan was cycling. It was a relatively cool day (upper 60s) and doing highway speeds and the fan cycled on a...

My pictured truck above has all of the markings and the hood was clear. Below is the UIC on the hood. I was just noting that the truck coming out now have the numbers painted over. And yes you can sand to show them. I even used scotch brite to revival.
