A magnet would be by far better than a shop vac. Now im really wishing i had seen this before i installed mine. It took me longer to clean it than it did to install
Excellent instructions, wish i had them two weeks ago. The tm is a little fuzzy on the install. I found that a 5/32 drill bit to be the correct size for the self tapping screws. Its also a good idea to remove the cover and take a shop vac to it to get rid of all the metal stuck to it after...
Dave has done good by me. His prices might seem high but you get what you pay for and he stands behind his sales. You don't get that at most surplus yards.
I know the feeling about having to have them. i traveled 1000 miles round trip after working all day to get mine. Your going to love them. I bought tires and rims when i did it.
I use progressive for my truck. Unlimited mileage can use it however I want. No restrictions. Cost me a little over $300 a year. Its a commercial policy and they have pics of my truck.
This site is great thanks all who replied. Chased down the fuel line from the tank, it runs down the drivers side frame rail to a flex hose to the secondary filters. Looks like i need to install a primary in the near furture.
I have it registered as a 74. Gave carnac the frame number came back as a 53 REO. Recently found out it was an airforce truck (blue paint everywhere) read somewhere that carnac couldnt do airforce trucks so im not real sure.
Bought it private sale. The previous owner didnt know how to replace a brake line so i doubt he removed it. The only line on the right side frame rail is a brake line. Was getting dark so i havent followed the line out of the tank yet.
Its a mulitfuel. There is no housings, petcocks or anything that resembles a filter. Was just courious if others out there have seen or heard of deuces not having one.
was wondering if other members out there have or have seen deuces without a primary fuel filter. I have craweld all over my truck and still cant locate one. I am new to this hobby and any info would be appreciated.
