3 of my are led one is regular bulb. All my original lights were regular lights none led. I did not remove the light from signal selector. I did not search previous posts.
They are plastic lenses. I am hopeful that the light bulb on the passenger front is causing all this. I was told that truck light leds require flash box unit today. I am unsure how that would affect side markers. I will try to put my old lights back to see if there is difference.
I was told Humvees don’t have fuses. I checked the grounds on both lights. It’s all grounded. Markers seem to be grounded, two new lights look grounded. I was thinking the light bulb in the front side marker is causing all this. I bought replacement marker it shipped today.
Just installed truck lite led tail lights. After installation noticed that left side markers (front and rear only on left side) don’t work. The right side markers work great. The left side markers (front marker has stock bulb the rear is led) don’t. Attached pictures.
I check ground on both...
hey
did you figure it out. Mine does same thing. Starts when cold white smoke give it throttle goes less. Does run rough. After changing cold advance runs little rough but not as much. Just changed cold advance, tps and got new smart box. Glow plugs done about 3 months ago. Not sure where to...
Worth a shot. Ordered cold advance. It can’t be the coolant leak because the Humvee mechanic I spoke with said if you do throttle lock and it stops smoking it’s TPS or cold advance.
Also there is no missing coolant and it does not bubble up or build pressure. No blow by in the engine as well...
Previous owner installed smart box from BD customs. He was the one that changed glow plugs. He did replace injectors as well but forgot to put a washer on one or couple. Not sure if that matters. Maybe will give glow plugs a crack. Someone told me could be injector pump.
when it warms up runs great. If I pull on throttle lock seems to smoke less. Once engine warms up some is gone. Today it smoked like crazy when I started it. When warmed up it was gone. Someone mentioned maybe TPS or Thermal advance switch.
Black dog customs glow plugs less then 8 month old. Some told me it’s advance throttle or bad injector that’s leaking. When I pull throttle lock a little back smoke disappears
Got smart box from black dog customs. Glow plugs are good. The only thing I can think off is injectors or injector pump or TPS sensor that controls everything. It does idle rough when cold. When it warms up smoke is gone. Takes about 30 to 50 seconds in 60 degree whether. I did not change...
no coolant leaking. Smells like diesel read that it could be injector pump and PTS. No sweet smell or blue smoke. Smokes at start up once warm never does it again.
