    FMTV 6x6 cage bolts.

I have some. When I bought new canisters they came pre caged. With an extra cage bolt in the holster. I’ve got extras. Shoot me a PM and I can send out Thursday or Friday. Edit: damn Tapatalk pro. Keeps adding crazy emoji code.

Hydraulic pump replacement - deleted the controller

I capped mine in the back. It’s a check valve or something that prevents the air over hydraulic from working when the parking brake is not set. Safety thing. I just traced all the way to the back. Grabbed a plug from Home Depot and decided I’ll mess with the rest. Later. If ever. It’s deleted.

    Brakes.. oh my...

I think i solved the mystery of the front brake wedge. Upon further review... it looks like the fronts use the same wedge assembly as the rears. 24P doesn't mention it. Appendix H hints at it.. Dissaseembly seems to confirm, that it is the same wedge as the rears, just slips into a yoke.

    Brakes.. oh my...

Well....I went 6 for 6 on rusted out wedge springs. The two front wedge assemblies were also rusted and broke while unscrewing the chambers. Unfortunately, The 24P does not list a part number for the front brake wedge assembly. (It is listed as part #5 for the rear, but obviously...

Update.. I gathered all the parts and got everything back together.. I'm onto the adjusting the brake shoes part. Reading the ETM and watching and rewatching Endless Adventures youtube video. On the A1R..we have these fancy ABS wheel sensors...On the rear canister, the ABS sensor is in the...

    Wet..... Dry.... torque on lugs

Old thread. I know. But still relevant. Can a torque multiplier be used to install the lugs? Or just remove? My torque only goes up to 325 ft lbs. Wet/dry? I never knew there was a difference. Do I use compound on the lugs or not? If it’s 60%. does that mean i tighten to 270 ft lbs with anti...

    Brakes.. oh my...

The ones that are on that came off my truck, 07 a1r, look like this. The ones I find on eBay are more like this. A different style. I definitely don't want to downgrade. Thanks...

    Brakes.. oh my...

Which ones @GeneralDisorder ? I have an A1R now... I assume they are the ones you are referring to? I haven't got the front yet, looking like the 4 rear ones are all about the same condition... I know i shouldn't take apart the parking brake side (spring goes boom). What about the other side...

ECO hub install.. Turned into CTIS and bearing seals.. Turned into brakes.... What a surprise I found. Looking like Private Parts skipped the LO chapter!? Whats the best source for components? Lots of broken springs... Rust everywhere... Whats the best way to determine if the 'guts'...

ECO Hubs Who needs 3:07 gears?

A good friends recommendation. He used it on his axles for other vehicles and had good success. So I gave it a try. :). It’s expensive though.

Got after it this weekend. Did rear hub service and ECO hub install. Inner bearing service and seal, CTIS seals, and ECO hubs. I used anaerobic RTV instead of the specified grey... Things I learned today. - check the hard air lines on the hub. when i got my truck there were no ctis...

    CTIS bench test harness

    CTIS bench test harness

I haven’t got too far into my CTIS yet. But my controller just doesn’t have any lights at all. Considering my wheels don’t have any valves on them right now. And no plugs. It’s not a huge priority. I’ll be doing eco hubs, CTIS seals, and inner bearing seals in the coming weeks. Also got some...
