Yeah I've been leaning towards the 09. Only problem is no cargo space for the ATV. Kinda a trade off i guess. Speed in the 09 or the hauling capacity of the 08. Looks like there are a couple guys in cali and northern NV that have some for sale. Might have to drop them a message. Also the wife...
I was planning on keeping it as close to mil issue as possable. Aren't the drive trains the same? Just a shorted wheel base on the 09? Or is there a diffrance in gear ratio between the 09 and 08?
True but the 3 axels might be a hang up. Sucks that the NV DMV has to be so secretive about it. Looked on thier web site and nothing. Guess I''l have to call the commercial vehicle division on Monday. Sometimes the state blows!! Thanks for your help.
Going to do a little more research on that. All that comes up is the federal weight and wheel restrictions. Frustrating! But that would be sweet if i didn't need one!
Give sales back to DRMO!
They need to give sales back to DRMO. I was talking to the lady's at the DRMO at Nellis AFB, and Barsto. They both said they could sell stuff faster and with less snafu's than GL. Both said it was to save money and reduce man power costs.
I'm sure i'm just missing it. (And being a FNG!) Been looking most of the night on google and here. I'm looking for the law pertaining to the need of a CDL and what type to drive a M35. Could some point me in the right direction please? I live in Southern Nevada if thats any help.
Thanks in...
There's nothing like driving a deuce down the road, and watching everybody's jaw drop. Only reason I want a CUCV before an M35 is my wife and HOA would have a litter of ugly puppies!
I'm looking at buying a M1008 or 09. But know little about them other than there Chevy K30's or K5's. I was in the army. But my unit used mainly HMMWV, M35's, and LMTV's. We had a few CUCV's for small stuff. I'm basicaly buying it for a utility truck for the house, and to haul my ATV around...
Hi guys,
I'm from WA. (Still have tons of family in the Seattle area.) But moved to LV, NV for work. I'm interested in leaning and, inquiring about CUCV's and Duce's. I hope to find a CUCV soon!
