    Engine Noise

Check your flexplate. Make sure its not cracked or has a loose bolt. If you can hear a loud disconcerting noise at idle and highway speed that disappears under acceleration/load than be sure to check your flexplate. It will almost sound like a chani dragging under the truck.

M 1031 Farm Contact Service Truck

Have you solved the problem with the diesel sloshing up the vent? Some guys have added expandable diaphrams instead of vents. Sort of like a reverse air tanks in your home plumbing system. I'm assuming you too are on a well and this makes sense?? Love all the pictures. Your making me want a...

    cant start my m1031

Had this happen in a ford once. As previously stated I had to jiggle the wheel left and right to un-stick it. Jiggle isn't really the right word though as I had to do it pretty hard. Jerk it left and right a few times. But not off..........Sorry couldn't resist. Rest of the post was serious.

    Help: M1009 Tire purchase tomorrow

I also run 33x10.5-15's Mud T/A's with no issues. Everything stock, no rubbing, even when offroading. Plus I like the tall skinny looking mud tire. Reminds me of the old ww2 willys.

The flexplate does appear to be a weak link in the drive train.

    Some pictures of my 1008

This is probably a question that only a government official could answer, but why didn't you need to have a lower front bumper? Go green.

So what's the heat level, in cab, from your m1009?

There isn't really a trans cooler on a cucv. They just run a couple of lines past the rad. I assume you've got lots of trans fluid? Drop the pan and make sure its clean and not full of crap. THis will also allow you to confirm that you have the proper trans fluid and amount when you refill it.

    Cucv extreme rattle noise

Centrifugal force. As the rpms increase everything tightens up, until it finds the next gear and get really loud again. Am I right? If so I'll bet a donut hole its a broken flexplate. You probably hear it as soon as the starter engages. If I'm right don't drive it till you get this fixed. I...

Check your flexplate. Its either cracked or you have a loose bolt to the torque converter.

    ignition/starting trouble

Don't worry about the suppressor between the bus bars, you only need it to help military radio reception/clarity. Will not affect starting.

    ignition/starting trouble

Make sure the lugs and wires down to the starter/solenoid are not shorting. Space is pretty tight down there. The push button he, your mechanic, put in may not have been able to handle the 24V. If you jump the starter does it work? Does your wait light come on at all?
