My commerical f550 4x4 wrecker is gvw at 17,500 and i do tow duces with it but i am picking up the front end and once i had to pull a ammo trailer with it because the witch at GL said i had to get it out of there that day or loose it, but it is plenty for it down the highway. Oh my f550 weighs...
Yes that is right, 900 series in the 80's, 800's in the 70's and the m39 series in the 60's or earlier. This is a ROUGH sort of rule of thumb, IMHO (only)
1 piece push bar
Mine came with a 1 piece push bar i thought that is whay they had. Mine is a m819 it is the one camo joe has in his pics of the m819 crane wrecker tractor.
Bit
Now your bit by the OD bug, welcome to spending to much money on everything green that comes your way from now on. I never thought of using a trailer as a dolly, is that legal? Honestly i wouldn't see why it wouldn't be and i even have a
small towing company but learned something new...
cabs
I can get them to indiana for 850 for 1 or 750 each for 2, maybe even cheaper posibily. If anybody is interested or if they can beat the 750.00 each price let me
know and i may go your way.
But yet when using a wrecker winch it is done from outside the cab. You have to pay attention and be ready to duck and it is a good idea to put something on the cable or chain to roll up the slack that is made when it breaks. An old coat or something and never jerk a chain either. Slings or...
Woho...it finaly runs on its own and it even idles too. Thanks everybody for the help and ideas, it had a stuck valve or check valve in the pump itself. :driver:again! :-D
A M105 trailer is over twice the weight of M101 and a half ton pickup will pull a M105. Just not to fast and don't stop to fast unless of corse you have too in an emergency, other than that you should be fine.
Chet Kruse had one i don't know if it sold in his auction in wisconsin. He had several there is older photos in that one book, but i can't think of the name of it by tom bernardt or something like that. Might be american military vehicles??
With everybody wanting M105 beds i would think you could find somebody to trade with, i would trade you if i wasn't 1500 miles away. I have a shoot pot full of M101s and less of the M105s. Nice M105s are kind of hard to find. IMO
Can't even mention evil bay auction on here, this place has more rules than school did. Or i guess i just need to study all the rules, i would need a case of beer for that job. Just shows that i need to live and learn, but i am trying hard.
It is full of oil, like new clean oil at that. The lift pump or pump or inj pump what ever you call it, till i learn more about 3116s is not pump fuel. No fuel is coming out of the return line on the front of the pump either. How does it start without building oil pressure first. I am trying to...
No smoke coming out of ex. sludge and varnish clear up to including the lift pump on the front of the inj. pump. We are trying to get the little valve in the pump cleaned out at the moment, it is a guess a little check valve. This truck ran on its own up there but would not idle before it was...
