A neighbor said that he had some military stuff that was given to him and wondered if I wanted it to go with my army truck. Never being one to turn down free stuff, when I got home tonight on my porch were two 5 gallon jerry cans and some kinda power unit thing. What in the world is a...
fuel filter
sounds like what mine did for awhile. I changed out the fuel filter to a spin on, no problems since. If you think it might be that, bypass the filter you have now and see if it helps. The other thing that worked on mine before I changed the filter was make sure the tank is...
I did notice after the smoke that the wire was up against the engine. If I spilled a little diesel, maybe that led to the short. I guess I now need to replace that particular wire. Is that part something Napa would be able to get? I have never messed with the glow plugs, how hard is that...
So, I completed the fuel filter replacement today on my M1009. Switched to a Napa spin on thanks to the instructions provided by other SS readers. Works great. Started right up, no leaks, no problems. Turned the truck off and went on to other tasks.
The wife got home, asked what I had...

Seems like you could get a heavy duty power inverter and power the items you are talking about. Try DC Power Supplies for Manufacturing, Laboratory, and Testing Applications | Tripp Lite

Try Best Buy. Go back to the car stereo installation area and talk to those guys. They have alot of stuff not out in the general store area. I see you live in Louisville - you might try Smart Shopper on the corner of Produce Lane and Jennings. They have alot of car "stuff" and...
The heat seems to have gone out in my M1009. It worked fine last year and early this spring. Is there a "usual" problem that I should look for first? The blower blows, the air is just cool/cold. Thanks
