Have spent the last four weeks with Mariano Vaca in Houston getting all the little details taken care of. New carb, water pump, fuel pump (original), springs, fuel lines, vacuum lines, lighting, etc. Never met anyone who knows as much about the M170 as Mariano!!!

THANKS!!!!! I found a good used left and right side M38A1 in Kentucky for $160 including the two windshield brackets for the top inserts. Bought the 3/8" rod in case there are some fitup issues. Should be about finished with hardware next week and will start the final paint and decal scheme.
Could you provide photo of the door frames for both sides. I have an M170 that I just bought all new canvas for but no door frames. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a M170 and I need door frames for it as well. I think M38a1 driver's side will work. Can you help me out with drawing, dimensions, materials?
Should get it back from the mech next Friday and then we'll put the bows and canvas on. When everything is right, stretched tight, I plan on doing the final body paint in marine green.
Well, made a lot of progress this weekend. Under side has been waterblasted, sand blasted where needed and undercoating applied where useful. Got the windshield to hood gasket removed and a new one installed, got the gen/reg original cable cleaned up and installed, got both driving b/o lights...
