Lol...that is what happened when I put my valve covers in the dishwasher.:?
Thanks for sharing Station....I have a full set of seats out of a 2005 Trail Blazer. But...I am too lazy to fab any brackets for them so will end up selling them.
Next project while the seats are out....SPRAY ON BLACK...
Great Idea Station...
Deuces...not sure about the "sack" up front either but I need some place to keep my "5 hour energy" handy for the trips from Houston to Camp Bowie. ha
I took my driver side seat over to the local upholstery guy a couple weeks ago. He took my name and number and told me he was a bit busy but it would take no more than a week. He was going to charge me $75 to add sponge and repair with something close. (This M1009 only had 18k on it when I got...
I think I'm going to sell my OD iron AC kit....I have 100 projects going on right now and I've gotten use to the summers in my M1009. Just crack a vent. haha
Paid over $1100 will take $750 New in the box
Texans - Deka in Carrolton (Dallas) has them for $160 each :???:. If you gotta have one call Robert or Shane at (972) 616-0682
They might ship out of state...I don't know.
Correct me if I'm wrong but unless you were running lights then you only used your battery for starts. Remember, you have no spark plugs. ;)
I have 3 Blazers (one being a bastard 12v) and I will never convert the other two. I bought the 12v "converted" and it's my only PITA. I feel your pain...
Progressive "personal" will not insure over 3/4 ton. Progressive "commercial" will not insure pickup trucks. Don't even ask them to insure your M1008 or M1009. My policy got canceled today.
The nice lady I talked to at Progressive "personal" thought she would share her vast knowledge with me...
I read your reply but didn't like your answer....there. Did that hurt your feelings? FYI I have 4 CUCV's and don't want to screw around when I finally get all these wheels done worrying about which ones have been modified. I want to be able to throw any set on any truck AND I don't have the loot...
Mark...I have the same problem with my M1008. Are you SURE those will work? The studs don't even go through the nuts they are so short. I am seriously thinking about dually hubs. 9 turns does not go through those nuts does it? I put em on and drove around town ONCE slowly but am not driving that...
Sorry Bro...that would be the window channels bolted with two bolts into the sides of the inside of the tail gate. Sorry, I should have taken some pictures and posted this at home.
Also...if you are taking all this crap apart anyway you may want to look at the felt gutters so you don't have to take it apart again later. There is a cheap way to fix these gutters. Take all the old rubber and felt out of the rails with a flat tip screw driver. Autozone sells a little...
Best advice in this thread was "Prior to starting this procedure I ran the truck to get it up to normal operating temperature so that restarting after the filter change will be fast and easy." I ran my M1008 and M1009 for 10 minutes.
I have a friend that ran down his battery trying to start...
Vintage Air is about $1200 and you will still need to fab up a compressor bracket for your truck. OD Iron has one fab'd for you and the kit is cheaper.
There is no "plug-n-play" option to my knowledge. Niferious and I are going to do a double install soon of the OD Iron kits on our trucks...the instructions blow so we will probably take pics of the install as we go to help others on the site.

Welcome Felix...I'm fairly new here as well but this is a great forum. Helpful guys without all the bickering (ie. Internet Warriors) that you see on other forums. I hope you enjoy your stay.
