Hello, I'm looking for a radiator for my G506 and I'm having a hard time locating one. Does anyone know what the correct part # is for it? Or is there a place I can get a remanufatured radiator for it? Thanks
Hey guys thanks for the all the help. Ralvincos, if you had the poles for the derrick, I would have bought them. I only have part or one. Yes my bed has a tag on the lower front by the passenger door made by the same company dated 1944. As for the winch I haven't looked at it yet.
Thanks paulfarber, I'm sure thats on the outside of the frame rail. But I've sanded my frame and its blank. So what now? :-? It doesn't look like anybody removed the numbers by grinding or anything like that. Are all the 1 1/2 ton chevys in that location?
Thanks guys. NDT, thank you for the info on the engine. Now I know why I can't find a number. For a number on the frame I can't find one either. What I know about the truck it has been in Oregon for along time. The license plate is a Oregon plate from 55, but the state has no records of it...
Thanks guys for the replies. So far I still can't find any numbers:-(. It seems as if the motor has been changed. Inside the cab someone wrote that the motor has been changed in 53. So I guess I'll keep looking.
The DMV here in Oregon is wanting me to try to find vin #s on my 44 chevrolet 1 1/2 ton to get a title. The only number I can find is the serial # on the data plate inside the cab, but they say that isn't the right number they need. They want the stamped number off the engine. I can't find a...
Paulfarber, the DoD is the "Date on Delivery" Correct? I'll take a look, I know that the data plates are still in the cab. If I remember correctly that the Date on Delivery was in 44 sometime.
Hello, what is this outside light? On the g506 did they have a horn like this or were they mounted somewhere else?:? I want the truck to be original as possible. Thanks.
Thanks guys for your replies. I'm some what mechanically minded, but what the heck I'll see what I can find and see if I can possibly get it back on the road. At least my father and I got the engine to fire up. As far as the tools to go with it that were original, I have no idea. The winch...
Hello,
I just rescued a K-43 out of a metal scrapyard and was wondering where I could find parts for it. I need to rewire it and it has no seat or radiator in it. I'm not sure what year it is, but the delivery date was in 44. Its going to take a lot of work, but it will be fun.
Thanks, Lee
