    M989a1 steering pin lock handle

Initially I saw operation, removal etc. and eventually found the number SW26676. It's a start. Thanks

    M989a1 steering pin lock handle

I got my trailer home, and I'm going over it and I think the only thing missing is this handle for locking, and unlocking the steering pin. I would like to find one, and maybe a part number would be a place to start. I did find this link that shows it. The handle is necked down to about 3/16 and...

    Trailer jack shear pins

The jack compares well to a HMMWV M1101 jack, that I just now took a look at. The difference being the leg on a M1101 is round and a square leg with holes drilled in the leg for adjustment on this jack. It came on a Drash trailer that I think are purpose built. I took a few pictures, but the sun...

    M989 vs M989a1

I got mine home a couple days ago. It fit perfectly on my trailer. I had them load the tongue to the front so I had no hang over in the rear. My pickup towed it nicely, but only got about 8mpg, it's not light. I'm painting the wood deck, it was sun baked to the extreme. Then I'll move it to...

    Trailer jack shear pins

The handle on my trailer tongue/leveling jack only spins. I took it apart, and there is a shear pin that holds the gear from spinning. I hope I described this correctly. Is there a good source for these pins? To describe the jack itself, it has a weld on fixture that the common jack pins to on...

Did the CCKW, or M5H6 International have combat rims?

They had quite a few trucks parked on their farm. When I bought these 2 at least one had been there 10 years already after it had been sold. It may be still there. I was told I can keep it there as long as I wanted. As far as adoption, I think I'm older than they are. Neither of us need adopting.

    No trees thank goodness.

Did the CCKW, or M5H6 International have combat rims?

Almost 20 years ago I bought a couple trucks parked on a farm, a CCKW, and a M5H6. Circumstances got in the way, and I never moved them. Really nice people. Finally intend on getting one of them next month. The tires were sun rotting off the wheels back then. It probably will be quite the effort...

Did the CCKW, or M5H6 International have combat rims?

Thanks guys. So regular Deuce wheels will fit? Will other 20" combat rims fit from either WWII or the M34? For now I want to make a roller possible, but if I come across combat rims that fit, I like that look even if they aren't original.

Did the CCKW, or M5H6 International have combat rims?

2nd part of the question ...is the M35 wheel what was used? I think the combat rims on the M2 International look really good and hope something similar in 20" was used.

    Sticky fuel shutoff

I will have to check if the shutoff is pulled out when last run. I'll hand turn the engine over, make certain the throttle lever moves freely, and open the air intake in case I need to block it. I might let it crank until I see some oil pressure before the initial try too. Thanks for the advice!

    Sticky fuel shutoff

The reason I asked is because I have this Deuce sitting since about 2006 or 7. I had another that was sitting less time that had the shutdown lever stuck off. We cranked on it a long time, and couldn't get but a tiny puff of smoke out the stack. Took the cover off to find the lever stuck, and...

In tank fuel pump substitute for M35

I like your idea! Do you have a picture where you mounted it?

In tank fuel pump substitute for M35

I looked in the tank, and it looks surprisingly clean, it is a 1987 truck, so it's not as old as some. If I remember right I think the pump runs slowly, and makes a lot of noise doing so, but doesn't pump anything. How are they resurrected?

    Sticky fuel shutoff

I read the sticky on removing the shutoff rod, but was wondering what causes the button to fall off the HYD head? I've not had an IP apart, so I'm not understanding how this works. I want to make sure the shutoff works freely before I crank over the engine. I get the impression that the button...

In tank fuel pump substitute for M35

I've seen the price of original pumps, and wondered if there was some work around that didn't empty the wallet. They certainly went up in price since I bought my last one. What pressure and volume did the original put out? Thanks

    M989 vs M989a1

I don't any interest in owning another one but if somebody wants one for cheap look in GSA California. They must have more than you can shake a stick at down there. They might need to start paying people to take them, lol

    M989 vs M989a1

Are there rules here about talking about active auctions on GSA? If there aren't I would say more trailers are up in Cali.

    M989 vs M989a1

Where it needs to go there is no way to pull it from the rear. There is no asphalt to worry about. I might need to load it on a trailer, and roll it off the back where I need it, what a pain that would be. What I really need is a drive thru spot. I will need to work on that idea. I appreciate...

    M989 vs M989a1

I have a hitch extension for my pickup. It allows you to tow something behind a long camper in the bed. I wonder if that would help my pickup back it up by increasing the distance from the rear wheels to the pintle hook? Where ever I store this trailer it will need to be backed by something, and...
