I was told that the front joints were a very week point anyway on the dodge. My friend who owns and operates a 4 X 4 shop sent me out to buy a suburban 71-83 front axle and swapped out the outer joints only. It changes the front look a little with a silver cap instead of the nut but a little...
I have a 1976 Dodge M880. I want to restore it to its orig condition. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to remove the paint that is put over the letters and numbers from the bumpers without damaging them. Thanks so much for any help you can offer.
Well due to the many people who had the truck before me it no longer has a brake light. All the brakes were working perfectly untill one morning. They were redone and a short time ago but close as I can figure it is just the one passenger front that is working now. But that is what my friend...
Its the passenger front that locks up when nailing the brakes. A friend told me there is some type of valve after the lines come out of the master and then go to the different wheels. Something about a control pin that may be stuck ?
I have a 1976 Dodge M880. My brakes were done several months ago and worked perfectly up untill this week. What I am experiancing is that when I apply the brakes only one tire is locking up and stopping the truck while the other three keep keep rolling. I have never seen this and have no idea...
Ok thank you and all for answering my many questions. I really appreciate your patience and overwelming help. So the 360 is goin in. You all have a wonderfull day.:)
Yes I am sorry it was directed to Elwinil thanks. The 318 runs great, would I just be better off putting a 360 intake with a 4 BBL and forget the swap. Or would putting in that 360 make much difference in power with the 4BBL. Thanks
Being as how this was meant for the military and H/D use especially with the dana60 and dana 44 why do you think they went with the 318 instead of something with more power.
I have no regrets about a plow either. But for the sake of keeping it orig I just have had a hard time with a motor change. Btw N1265 I have a pic of your truck saved in my pics. Sweet truck
Ok, I had really bought the truck for a restoration project. I found it in an old farm field, talked the farmer into selling it to me put gas in it and drove it home. But now I need a snow plow. I really hate to make the switch but it would give me a chance to rebuild the 318 and put it back in...
I have a 76 dodge m880 with the 318 2bbl all stock. I am thinking about putting a 360 4bb in it from a 77 dodge 100. Need the extra power for a snowplow. Am I going to run into any issues or will it just drop in. Any thoughts or comments would be etremely helpfull. Thanks Guys.
Considering purchasing an M37 to restore. Looks pretty much all there runs and drives but if I am going to restore it can someone tell me how hard it would be to find parts. Or who I could turn to that specializes in this truck. I really want to take this one on, not for myself so much as for...
