Its not that far from my house so should be all set for driving it. And my uncle owns it he bought it from the Burlington Fire dept, quite a few years back and he was going to junk it and said he could get more than 500 for it for junk but said he'd sell it to me for that seeing I took an...
Alright thanks for the info now i'll just have to go get the thing and get it home, I'll probably drive it seeings its not to far from home about 15miles, but is there anything i should look for to tell me if the tranny is bad or not???
Yeah i'm going to buy it I'm sure it will be a money pit but whatever I guess its for the enjoyment of building up a classic probably wont be dont this summer but due to funding but im sure i'll fiddle with it here and there to get her back up and running, and im going to try to leave it as...
Hey thanks if i buy it I would like to join the club if that is possible and how hard is it to convert to 12 volt i know that someone makes an inverter that drops it from 24 to 12 cause my loader has one in it just need to figure out who makes it.
Well i know it needs a fuel pump, and is going to need tires, and new glass, and some bady work but nothing really huge. But im not sure i really like the flat bed on it i might want to try something different or try modifying it a little.
Im thinking of bobbing it due to the fact that it needs some body work and i'd like to only have 4 wheels to buy tires for than 6 but is this a huge task and can you reuse the stock springs or do you have to change them. does anyone have any pics of anyones they've done just to get an idea.
Yeah i just got done restoring a 1959 Willys CJ5 and a 1982 F-150 stepside so i'm looking for another project for myself guess it wouldn't be the first frame off resto i've done. Well is there anything i should be looking out for before i take the leap and buy it.
Well it maybe its a m135 but i was told the duel rear tires were taken off and only singles are on it is there any other ways to tell the difference. Is it worth fixing the bed on it or should i try to do something else im thinking of bobbing it but not sure if i want to go though all the...
Well here is a deuce i've been looking at not sure if its worth fixing or not, it has been converted to single rear wheels, it need a fuel pump, all new glass, batteries, some brake lines, and body work and paint. I guess it runs has the 302 in it and ran when it was left there 3 years ago...
Whats a good tire for this truck im not looking for huge tires or anything. I'm looking for something that will fit the stock rims but are a little wider and a little taller with a better tread pattern. Oh and the rear has been converted to single wheels on the axle so no more doubles. I've...
Alright thanks for all the info guys from the looks of the thing I've got a good deal of work in front of me to restore it back to original. Im hoping to keep most of it stock but do some slight mods to it to enhance the power and look of the rig. What tires would someone recommend for it...
thanks for the info on these things hopefully all is well with this truck im getting, I'll post some pics when i get the chance and where do i get these manuals for a m-211
Thanks guys I guess I'll have to see how it is then and if it is fine I'll just leave it until something goes wrong with it. The other thing is not that its a huge deal what should I be looking for average fuel mileage with this thing not that I'm going to drive it on long trips but is 5 to 10...
This is all new to me just got a gmc m211 from my uncle and was wondering if the 302 is a good motor or should I swap it to a cat 3208 seeing I have one lying around. I dont want to change the tranny or anything it has the automatic. This is all very new to me so any input would be nice.
