First thing I did was rip all that CTIS crap off the truck...can't imagine being stuck on the road somewhere needing all kinds of tools to change a tire.....boo..
True..... Very true..... But.... I'm gonna bring my toybox trailer.... With heat,a/c,micro,sat. Tv..... You know.... Rough it.... Lol...so I'll be doing a trip with trailer, un-hitch, then go get my toy...
I can't make up my mind...... Aaaaaaaa!!!! The wrecker weighs over 30k. Not sure how much fun I can have... I'm gonna go thru both trucks and see which is more up for "clean-up" operations... Lol. :D
try something super easy... sounds crazy, but your situation sounds a lot like one i had.. when u push the starter button, make it a quick, hard push.... dont be nice to it... read somewhere that the current needs to be a shock to the system... you can replace the button, but the same rules...
i'm gonna get my butt out there this time.... my job has kept me from the fun way too long.... i miss all the green and tan and black (blk hmmwv) toys..... hope to see everyone soon....
i agree..... seizing pilot bearing... make sure you remove that plate and pump 2-3 pumps of grease, no more than that.... also, check fluid levels in tranny/ transfer case (80-90) then lastly, clutch adjustment.....
F.Y.I. it's currently 54* @ camp D.B. , winds approx 24-40 mph expected all day. nights have been in mid 30s..... so, dress warm, brings plenty of tie downs if setting up a tent and let the clean up begin!! :jumpin:
