Have replaced the kingpin springs an cups this weekend, in compare to the new springs the old ones did shrink ....the differences where about 3 and 4 mm smaller than the new ones.
Steering is a lot better now as it evver was, but still after hitting the brakes a few times harder at higer speeds...
The problem first started a short time a go in the back......after removing the drums and finding the left drum smeared all over with a kind of dust mixed with oil.... i cleand it out and sanded the drum and shoes ....have to replace the drum seal for that......after the rebuild of the rear...
Think after doing some further reading the problem is more than just the break.
It looks that the car has the death wobble, so going to replace the kingpin springs and cups.
And if possibel at once all the front bushings of the stabelizer and spring, they look after 28 years like granny's

It are not the wheel cylinders thats for shure , have replaced them a good year a go they are dry and the fluid level in the main cylinder is perfect.
So think it is the drum seal that is leakiing.

The first day's when i started my m1008 it has run on diesel witch had sad in the tank for 2 years but it started and drove well.
At the moment it still starts well the engine just gaining no power to keep running
The aircleaner looks ok , it had some rust on the place at the intake further it is verry clean.
Befor the paticel test they have trown in a bottel of cleaner to make the engine come better thru the test, could this give problems for a filter?
If it is a fuel starvation problem would the engine than gain rpm's with no load or would it also stall?

I dont know how quick a fuel filter will get disfunction , i have changed it about 3 years a go and just run a bout 3000 miles with it. the truck has standstill for about 2 years so it could be.
The truck has run the last weeks some houers and did run well.

But my garage thought it was the engine , he advised to do a compresion reading of the cylinders.
But it looks to me that if there is a loss of compresion the engine wouldend start easy and there should be loss...
