I just realized that the m939 series have full air brakes. Im real close to getting one but dont have a cdl. I see you aryankee have a 923. Could one 25 years old be reg'd as antique? Thanks
Appreciate the help I think I'm going to hold out and wait for a nicer one but if anyone else wants to buy it for 1900 its a 66 non Turbo runs great
Pm me for info
anyone want to help me out? I found a deal on a deuce on craigs but it blew a brake line, so I have to go out there and replace the line. Anyone want to tag along?
Yeah I think I'll start collecting the stuff and filtering, from what I read (royco 500) is that its pretty much synthetic mineral oil...very clean too.
"These products are carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Thermal decomposition products are dependent on
temperature conditions"
From the MSDS on products of combustion...
Also I was looking, and to my surprise the fire resistant hydraulic oil has a flash point of 430 degrees fahrenheit...I wonder how this would burn? I've heard of folks doing 30%....but I always figured this stuff would be so hard to burn.
Also I wonder how do you find the difference between...
I have access to a large supply of synthetic turbine oil, very clean. How do you think this would burn? It is quite thin, I think its pretty close to mineral oil...I want to get a deuce just to go off the grid, I'm not scared to daily drive one, if I can daily drive a head / cam six speed...
You can use it on diesels, you leave the diesel idle injection to pop it off and hook up a throttle valve to control the incoming wood gas for acceleration.
Yeah, your 5 ton weighs what 21000 lbs? So as long as theres a bottom (rock or pavement) you'll squeeze right through the snow, but I'm not an expert on 5 tons, just my opinion.
But generally I think the 5 ton is more capable offroad than the deuces, as long as theres no place for them to sink...
Just curious who won it, and how it ran if at all. Let me know if you need any help with loadout as I want to get into MV's next year and hopefully a 5 ton!
oh yeah and nopics !!
Thanks
In theory it should help your highway mileage but it never works like that.
Coming from the Cumminsforum where you can run 38's stock w/o a lift they bring your mileage down a lot. I suppose in theory if you were on the highway but still they do raise your truck a few inches and thats what...
