Did you decide if there is some adjustment in the pinion gear? I can rotate my front almost 3 inches. My rear is new and it has no play. Mine has also started grinding/vibrating so I know its on the way out. My rear did the same. Can I just rebuild the top pinion? Thanks for the help.
Anyone know the size and pitch of the pinion nut and threaded end? Looks like I've started cross threading mine and need to get a tap and die to clean up the threads. I tried cleaning them with a small file....but no luck. Thanks.

Any ideas how to adjust the sprags...or are they just worn out and need replaced. My truck goes into 4wd in reverse and has only engage 4wd forwards one time. I have an Offroad truck with 2.5 ton axles and the t-136-27 sprag transfer case. I'm not sure what part comes out of adjustment
