Kenny, what does it look like? Similar to Nato plug? There was a box of stuff I can look through. Dold the Deuce last night on Ebay for $7600. Somebody got a nice deal.
No, I just cleaned them with Brake cleaner. I am not sure the part is available. i would think a brake shop could rivit some new brake material on the piece.
I have now rebuilt two winches with new seals and bearings. The total parts run about $300 but I have no more oil leaks. Both winches got water in them at some point and rusted the bearings. In the photo section I have a diagram with the part numbers for the seals from Napa and a commericial...
Email this fellow. He sold me a NOS plug and it comes with a pigtail attached that you can hook up to a small metal box that converts to 6 volt. You can apparently convert it to 12volt. I haven't figured that part out yet but the price was $40.00 and it was all still wrapped in a paper box from...
Jim, I bought a Robo-Impact gun on ebay and it worked twice and died. Do you know anyone who repairs them? Where did you get the replacement brushes from? Thanks
Window seals
I haven't figured out the window seals yet. The top came with a 1 inch wide stip of 1/8' foam material which I am not sure if it fits between the windshield or is to be applied to the window channel areas. I hate to put the foam on as it looks like it will detract from the overall...
Rear Window
Jeff, I assume they sell the rear window seperately as they stock the top without the window and add it if you request it. My sales person in parts was ED and he has been quite helpful over the past several months.
I received my new hard top from Memphis Equipment yesterday and set out to install it today. I changed out my windshield with a new one at the same time. The top is fiberglass but they will be getting 300 metal ones in as the company who used to make them just got an order from Uncle Sam to make...
Here is a shot with the Napa muffler that has been discussed frequently. I had to modify my mirror bracket by adding a 3 inch extenstinon of flat stock to the bracket mounted on the cowling. It worked out great and is alot quieter.
Kenny, someone did a good job fixing it up( I assume you ) I will post some pics next week as I have been doing alot of work on the old deuce. Hopefully my airomatic wll be working. I am putting on my new gas tank as well that I got NOS from TNJ Murray. Paint is about 75% done.
