Master switch on, no fuel at the bottom of the fuel filter where the drain is at. I checked the check valve at the tank and it is OK. Opened fuel line at the top of the engine and could suck fuel with some degree of difficulty.
Does the lack of fuel at the drain on the bottom of the fuel filter...
I have a 1997 m35a3 with a bad generator and wanted to see if anyone had replaced the 60 amp generator with a Niehoff duel voltage 260 amp generator? Or is there a better replacement? Cost for the replacement 60 amp is pricy.
The reason why, I have access to the 260 amp generator for free.
Thanks
If there is rust in the lines and system, you can get parts from a company named Dexter, whom made the axels for some of these trailers. Wheel cylinders were still available a couple of years ago. Brake lines can be purchased from Oreillys or other auto suppliers. You can fab up the system and...
Dexter maked the axel for most of these trailers. 8 bolt hubs have a 2.715 inch bearing cap. So your bearing buddy should be made for that size axel. I believe these trailers have a 5000 or 6000 lb axel. Very heavy duty for a 3/4 ton trailer.
RG
Very interesting info on what these trucks will burn. What impact does the high compression verses lower compresson civilian engines have on using these fuel mixtures?
Why don't manufactures make more small diesel pick ups (1/2 ) ton trucks.
Looks like there is a market in the US for them. I...
I searched for wheel bearings for the trailer and came up with a list, but when I disassembled mine the numbers for the outer bearing is different. My trailer has a timkin 2585 not the 25580. And the seal has a number of AD3135-E1 and it is the same as the 1036 also the RG06-070.
Has anyone had...
These recovery trips will be memories that last a life time. Enjoy your youth and keep us old farts clued in on how the duce works out.
Be carefull out there.
First oil changes can be interesting. Even after reading the TM, the quantity of oil in one is surprizing. You can always filter the oil and use it in the fuel if you don't mind a little more smoke.
The 151 is looking good. Your photos show a week spot in the design. And you are very right about that. When I was in germany, I jumped a 151a2 off the ground after going into a hole in the road where an m60 tank had wallowed out. When I hit the ground the 151 broke right in front of the rear...
GL return
I have returned items to GL. They were listed as new, and I did not open the packaging at the pick up site. When I got home and discovered the items were rebuilt, I contacted Gl and filed the forms. It was a long process, but the refunded my money after I returned the items. So, it is...
Red diesel
Don't wory about switching pump and hose unit from tank to tank. The red will not stain the hose or pump. As soon as the red is out od the system there is no residual effects. I have red diesel tanks for the tractor and duce that is used off road. I also have a pick up that I fuel...
The longer I run the truck, the more the volt gage fogs up. After 2 hours of drive time this week, the gage was unreadable. When the truck is first started it is clear with no sign of moisture. After is sits after driving, it clears up. I don't recall this happining in the past. Truck is a 89...
I Have m35a2c here on the farm and I use the truck to haul the big round bales to feed the cows in winter. I have a 1200 gallon tank that can be mounted in the back to spray fertilizer or other chemicals on the pastures. Or spray fence lines with herbicide. I have pulled a disk and tire drags. I...
