The shock got rid of a lot of the jerking. When I hit the brakes hard the trailer stopes smoothly along with the truck. If you can push the lunete in easy then change the shock.

Has anyone done a complete frame off CUCV rebuild. I am talking frame media blast and powder coat, complete engine and tranny rebuild, rebuild axles, body work and paint, brakes, etc. Not a fancy show truck but a solid daily driver that would last another 10 years without fear of breaking down...

I think I am going to go for it. Just gotta find some troop seats to salvage. Keep me posted on the project and let me know if you extra parts that I could use.

Here's the idea. I have a m101a2 that I will use to haul around Cub scout camping gear. We have entered some parades in the past, Veterans, Christmas etc. I know some of the Hummers have troop seats in the back. How hard would it be to mod some of these for the trailer? The seats would obviously...
Well I got my two M101A2 home. They were both reworked in 2009. You can still smell that sweet CARC paint. Recovery went well. Only thing I ran into was the short safety chains. A trip to lowes fixed that right up. So I have a couple of questions.
1. How hard should it be to move the lunette...
