My IP is starting to go out and I am looking to buy a rebuilt unit. Does anyone know of a Diesel shop in Atlanta Ga that sells rebuilt Stanadyne DB2's?
I just installed a new Fuel Filter and I still have the same problem also noticed a slight surging sound to the idle. I remember it from before, just thought it needed to warmup......next step is to check the fuel pump and the idle speed setting.
I am having a problem with my '84 M1009. While I am driving and I lift my foot off of the gas pedal quickly the motor stalls out. I put it in nuetral and turn the key and it starts right back up. I am lost and dont know where to start looking for a problem, transmission, fuel, vacuum......aua
Just posted part numbers for rebuild kit for a 27 SI. You can search my posts Yo get all the info you need. Rebuilding them is super easy. Kits are about $27 plus shipping.
I forgot to mention that when you are looking for parts for your generators you want to specify that it is a delco remy 27-SI / 100 type. When cross referencing part numbers look for delco remy part number 1105500.

Have you tried looking on eBay. I believe there is an instrument cluster for sale there. I would also check the classified section here to see if anyone is parting out a cucv.

I am rebuilding the bottom end of the motor. Harmonic balancer went bad and took the keyway with it. Lots of new parts. Crankshaft and bearings, oil pump, timing chain and gears, block heater, freeze plugs, water pump. Bought the truck for $100. I have got $550 in parts and about 40 hours in...
Definitely think about changing the harmonic balancer. I am rebuilding the motor in mine as we speak because the balancer ripped the key way right off the the end of the crankshaft 80 bucks and a couple of hours under the hood versus 500 bucks and about 60 hours.
I am rebuilding the bottom end of my M1009 cucv. I have the new crankshaft installed and tried to put the timing chain back on but there are no marks on the crankshaft gear or the camshaft gear. Do you use the woodruff key ways to align the crank Yo the cam or have the marks just worn off? Any...
