Hi you all. I live in New Bedford. I own two deuces, a M135 and a M211. I am still trying to bring them home....but soon i will be happy. To be cont.........
Thank you GF25- Knucklebooms, i never heard of that before. Its cool looking, it is the exact same idea i had in my head with a deuce a few months ago. I see why they are rare now.
So, now lets talk about windows. In the picture there is a window behind the door? I thought the Canadian...
It's cool bro. At least you considered that thought. It's better than what i can say about others. I found out that there is no flats on the deuces, so they can be towed by just pulling them with a tow-bar.
i will keep that in mind....thanks........So i will be posting pictures as soon as i go pick the deuces up. i am going to post everything i am going to do and post all the pictures from pick up, to delivery, and the work i will be doing to the trucks. I love taking pictures for the step by...
To all Steel Soldiers, I have 2 weeks left to manage a way to get 2 deuces pulled, pushed, or towed from NY. to Southeastern Mass. Can anyone help me? i will compensate and fuel is on me.....
Sorry to hear you sold your deuce. I know how you feel, and now that i bought two new deuces i really miss them and it is only been 3 weeks since i have seen them. Your right about getting the deuces home and start working hard on them. I should say "start getting into gear." I have two...
Thanks Stan. Well i got both so,both are going to be fixed, but you are right. I have to pick but i know which i like better. M211 is my favorite of the two but when i get them home in a few weeks i don't know if i should use the 302 that works in one of them. Then i could put a bigger...
To NattieLeather----I guess your truck must of been great looking like the one in the avatar picture. That is actually what i want my truck to look like. I am at the beginning and yet have not started to work on them. I mean my two deuces. Sorry again, thanks.
Thanks Robert for the hopefulness you have for my situation. The Gmc was not my first choice ,but the truck was on my list and has a great big nose that makes it a impressive vehicle in history. Robert you mentioned converting(trannies and 4 of those were converted to ww2-5 speeds and t cases)...
Time is ticking away, and i am still on the shipping. I have 2 maybe 3 things in play to try to take care of delivery. Only a few weeks left until the weather gets good enough for the ground to be hard enough for the tow truck to do its thing. If any one can help please let me know, any help...
Yes folks.......the truck in my avatar is not my truck. It is a picture i acquired online. I am sorry if anyone was offended because of it. The picture is a representation of what kind of truck i acquired and what i want it to look like in the future. The truck is a very rough imitation of my...
I know exactly what you mean Robert. My first thought was try getting somebody to do that exact same thing, but unfortunately i have no one with a truck besides not having the ability to tow, i also don't have a tow bar. My only possible idea to this awful situation(getting the trucks home) is...
since i have 2 vehicles not on the road i had to rent a space at a storage unit. I got a 2 car space on the back grass of the storage property. One on my property and one at the storage. Now i just bought a deuce. I got such a good deal i got 2 for the price of one. A Gmc M211 and a Gmc M135...
Thanks Porkysplace, i am not so worried about getting both trucks home at the same time, it's the getting from there to home part that's tricky. I can't afford to have it towed all those miles, and i don't have a truck or a truck strong enough to tow one truck at a time on a trailer or a tow...
its OK, i got over it a few weeks later. I finally bought a deuce, a Gmc M211 and a Gmc M135. I got both for a great deal, and i was trying for just one, but got a great deal that i could not pass up. Now i have twice the fun and twice the projects. Read my other threads for more info......later...
Hi SS folks. I have been a member for 5months and i have been searching for a deuce for 5years. The last 4years i always managed to loss the buy for the truck. Not my fault..... This last year i have been out of the game but still had my ear and eyes out for a treasure i could get. A few months...
Hello SS members. In adding my 2cents find out your town or city ordinance about vehicles on property. My town states you can only have one vehicle, not registered, on your property even if you still pay taxes on that vehicle. There is no rule about grass, gravel, tar, or cement needing to be...
I have been a SS member for 4-5 months now. I finally acquired 2 deuces after searching for 5 years. It took a long time, but a few months ago i came across a ad for a few 1950's GMC M211, and the rest is history. I am waiting for better weather so the ground can harden. I need help to haul them...
