Yeah would love to figure out what the heck this thing started as. Just going to enjoy it and get it operational and smooth. Never had a gas engine that was this heavy duty. Its pretty incredible. I cant seem to find ANY TMs on this engine.
Did not even notice that it said 45 and not 35! Just looked up the M135, that's a cool truck. No idea where I would find a bed for it. Would love to one day make this a hydraulic dump. Would need a shop to do it, don't have the capacity to lift stuff like that. For now Id love to get it running...
I never thought I would own a truck like this 10 years ago, and now I own two. This fell into my lap and I took it. Incredibly original and solid. Was in dry storage and used by a potato farmer for a long time. Windshield frame and glass is by far the worst of it. My truck in primer is a 1953...
Hey guys so Im on summer break and I have a whole mess of projects going on. I finally got a way to get the rebuilt case out of the bed! I bought an OTC tools metric ton engine crane. It hoist up to 2 feet in the air. Got it off craigslist for a good deal. MSRP of about 4k!!! Sometimes you do...
hey steve I actually did find that picture! But it did not give me the height of the bed. More googleing and I figure I need a gantry crane AT LEAST 8.5 feet wide and 6.5 feet high. I emailed Wallace cranes to see how much one would run. Im hoping it will also serve as a good engine puller...
Thanks. If I dont need to pull the top Thats what ill do. It even all ready has a passenger suspension seat in place of the stock crap bench, maybe I wont even need to remove it!
Im still considering a portable gantry crane. Do you have any idea how big it would need to be to go over the bed of...

I found on on craigslist for a little over a $100. The new barn my dads building (frame from the 1890's!!) will allow the deuce to fit inside the main area, and...
Thanks alot guys! Now I remember why last time I was on here I was trying to see if I could just replace the input yoke thats cracked in half. The dude I bought it from says It was probably driven for a while with the broken part because it was owned by the national guard. They try to break the...
Does anyone have pictures or a writeup of swapping out a transfer case safely and cheaply? I bought my 53 about 2 years ago now, and it has not left my yard. The stock input yoke is toast and I suspect internal damage. The guy I bought it from gave me an extra case, so Im just going to swap them...
Hey Im really looking hard for a set of pioneer tools for my 53. I searched for bob turner surplus and got nothing on the google machine. Do you have a phone number, or a website?
Thanks!
Hey does anyone have this crane mounted in there m35 bed?
Vestil WTJ-2 Winch Operated Truck Jib Crane, Welded Steel, 1000 lbs Capacity, 56" Overall Height, Yellow: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
I need a crane to raise and lower shop equipment into the bed for transport. Were moving our...
 Wow I totally read that as $11 a gallon. Guess I am a little slow today! OK so its $50 a gallon. Would you say its worth it if my truck is already in primer? The price difference is not significant to me.
WHAT is gonna hold up the longest?
EDIT: added some current pictures. Paint is...
umm what! The BM Alkyd is 1/2 the price as the rustoleum gallons! WOW...
So this would be my best option I guess. If I rent that airless sprayer, would I need to dilute it with xylene? At that price Ill get 4 gallons to do some extra coats. No problem top coating the cured red oxide...
