Just remember you need to route the lines to and from so put it somewhere you can get to it to reduce the pain in the butt factor. I went a different mico brake on my GMC. It has a solenoid to hold it and fits nicely along the frame rail. Works great, especially with a manual trans.
Small block, big block and 6.2 all have the same mounting. Any chev style auto or manual bell housing will fit. With 4.56's you can run any tire. I ran 33's with 3.08 gears with my 454 4 spd. 37" humvee tires might get into double digit gas mileage!!! I got 9 in town and 11 on the highway.
Someone mentioned using M105 axles. I think the bolster trailer rims are 16.5 tires with the deuce bolt pattern. It wouldn't carry too much weight but a deuce bed trailer with M105 axles and humvee tires would look pretty bad.
Well I know a deuce cab bare doesn't weight 2000 lbs!!!
Since we are on the subject. Could a deuce bed be made into a trailer simply by hanging axles and springs under the bed frame alng with a tongue? I'm talking 5K or 7K axles to tow behind a pickup. I'm not sure if I like the springs...
Does the drain spigot on the back of a water buffalo have threads and if so what size? I just learned where we are going do not have showers and I need the threads to fab a shower point Saturday. We leave Sunday!!! Talk about prior planning!!!
I've found the TM. Besides the rear spigot...

A house was moved across a local lake today. The local station reran a story from 10 years ago about another house move across Devils Lake, ND. The main pull truck is a 10 ton. You can hear the engine in the back ground.
It must have been still in service in the early 90's. The primer brown bracket was a fix to get the winch cable higher to use with the M870 trailers. Someone ended up blowing the winch on mine trying to lift a full trailer.
I had real good luck running Koch's Arctic Diesel but I think it went away with the ULSD stuff.
Dittle, you could get off road diesel instead but it probably isn't worth the trouble of transporting.
It must be Groundhog Day. I keep l;ooking at this thread in hopes of getting to the rest of the site and I keep looping back here. Maybe this post will unlock me!!!!!! No complaining just stuck.
I was just at the junk yard today. The pickup aisles are littered with receiver hitches laying on the ground or off in the beds of trucks. It would be nothing to get 10 hitches for dirt. Why is it every hobby I have includes heavy objects???!!!
RE: Different Breed of truck
The TM claims 59 mph top speed for a 920.

8.2 engine is a V8 not a 6. I like the idea of an M36 chassis with the 12' bed and extras up front.
$12K isn't much for a collector piece that looks like a solid truck. Being an engineer for the past 24 years I've spent a day or two in 5 ton dumps. As cool as it looks I'd hate to spend too much time hauling material without power steering and in a cab with a steering wheel that almost rubs...
I'm with you on this. I drove 10 tons from '86 to '90- '91. I probably have 5000+ miles logged on my 10 ton. Comfortable? not really, slow? ahhh ya, loud? F'n A. It never let me down, always started even below zero. Considering the era it came from it did it's job well.
I wonder where the...
