yeah, don't use a wire wheel lol. jJust use a DA with 80 grit sandpaper to knock it down so its smooth. Looks like everything that was flakey or needed fixed you already have. so use what you have on there as a half assed base then spray over it.

I dont know how well its sealed up, but it might be worth just sanding it down with a da. beacuse the sand blast sand will get in everywhere.

Sounds like a good time for the government to start selling the stuff to collectors. I know I'd have a nice, air-conditioned shop for that duster to relax in.
