If I want to get "close enough" with the color (USMC Forest Green Semi Gloss - 24052), but more durable like the modern paints, what should I consider?

I used 24052 out of a spray can. Put primer on, waited two hours, then put two coats of paint. After I painted, I moved it inside (70 deg F) and presumably low humidity since it has been cold outside and the dog shocks me when I pet her.

How long does it take for Gillespie paint to fully cure (harden)? I painted my windshield frame 24 hours ago and the paint is dry but very soft (I can mess it up with my fingernail).
I've got all of the parts, read the manual and US Army Instructions, but I am having a helluva time getting these windshields in. My wife and I literally worked for three frustrating hours today trying to get the first one in to no avail. I used soap, and every trick I know of on top of trying...
How do people generally buy tires and get them mounted?
I was considering buying tires from Coker on-line, but would I then take them to a tire place to have them mounted and balanced? Can normal tire places handle tires with tubes?
