I don't have seats at all because they were stolen
I bought a corbeau drivers seat and their double locking brackets thinking they would bolt right in. Nope. So I got a pair of non power seat brackets with no fasteners. Would you mind telling me the bolt sizes? Looks like one side is smaller...
That would be a last option but thanks for the suggestion. I'm a full-time student at the moment so not much free time. I just want the rig to be my second means of basic transportation besides my moto asap.
Hi SS members. I bought my m1009 with a "rebuilt trans" The guy who rebuilt it installed the pickup tube for the trans filter wrong, installed a 3 bolt torque converter and the valve body was stiff and gummy. I personally replaced the valve body and trans filter/fluid change and Lucas no slip...
Oh they come lose on their own? I was just assuming since the kid did such a bang up job "rebuilding" the transmission. Roscommon method? searching now.
As in two alternators? I did the mod anyway today and I'm running two batteries. The noise i was hearing was a starter bolts not even fastened all the way by the prior DA owner. I got to get under my truck a bit today and boy does it look nice under there.
My M1009 was converted (not sure if done properly) to 12v. By that I mean it only is running one alternator yet there are two batteries daisy chained to one another.
The previous owner installed a push button start switch to bypass the ignition cylinder. My 09 previously started...
how many puck torque converters is our rig supposed to use? reason I ask is there was a new one in the cab of my rig that the previous owner was too lazy to install when he "rebuilt" the trans.
That's what a $950 truck is gonna be: a project-unless its a chevy C10- then it's just an ugly runner. It's a decent starting point and it'll give me a chance to learn since nothing is too terrible. :grd:
CukkVEEE hahaha yeah that's me. I need to figure out the least expensive way to rebuild my th400. I have the R&R part covered since my best friend owns that a shop but he doesn't rebuild automatics. An olive drab CoCo sounds good to me....get some! at least we'll be able to smile and go hey...
Thanks a lot Firex390. I feel kinda bad for sounding off in this thread but the truck is going to need some love and $. I just need it reliable enough to make it to tahoe and back this season.
