If you are just chasing the threads, not cutting new, I would recommend using a rethreading set instead of a tap. It just cleans up the existing threads, rather than cutting new ones.

There does appear to be wear on the right side of the shift fork. I don't know how much is normal.

I think it was similar to the industrial MF 40 loader. If so, I don't believe they had the pto or rear lift. It was just a straight loader Tractor.
